Evie's POV
I followed Isabelle down the twisting and turing halls towards what I assume is her bedroom. Once we got there, she immediately pulled me to her closet and threw it open. "Ok so, i'm guessing your style is a bit like mine, just with a little more coverage added to it, not to sexy and not to much mormon.", she said as she went through her closet. She then handed me an outfit and walked me to a little changing area in her room that only had a fold out wall covering me. "I'm going to go deal with something, Alec will be here to take you on a tour of the Institute when your done.", I simply nodded my head and started to change. When I got done changing I walked towards a mirror standing on the left of Izzy's bed, I looked at myself and smiled, admiring how i looked like myself again. Confident and headstrong. "Your smile is beautiful" a voice said from behind me. I jumped and turned around realizing it was Alec and blushed looking down, just as he did when I first made a comment about him being the 'cute' one out of him and Jace. "Oh, um, thanks, yours isn't so bad either." I said as i walked passed him brushing his arm on purpose, "So are you going to show me around or are you just going to stand there?" I continued with a smirk knowing that he was stunned by what I just said and did. "Oh, uh yea, lets go" he replied shaking what ever was on his mind off. He put his hand on the small of my back and lead me out of Izzy's room.
After 30 minutes or so of touring (there might have been some flirting), he led me to the front of the institute, where there was a Mundane talking to Jace and the red head who had almost gotten them killed earlier during the day.
"What is going on? Why is there a Mundane in the institute?" Alec questioned clearly aggravated as he stepped in front of me in a protective manner (not sure why though), I looked at the mundane that was beside the red head, he looked totally lost and confused but kind of nerd hot. Jace sighed and said, "Circle members followed him to get to Clary". Oh so thats her name. "Circle rune just like the guys that took my mother." Clary said to Alec, I snorted trying to hide my laughter looking down at the ground. "What?" Clary asked as everyone turned there heads towards me, "Well obviously if its a circle member, there going to have a circle rune" I said smirking and then I noticed the mundane looking at me with wide eyes and mouth agape so I gave him a quick wink and looked back at Clary. "and who are you?" She asked looking me up and down, "Oh, i'm Evie Mero-Bane, and your the girl that nearly got us killed" I replied adding a bit of sass while crossing my arms. She rolled her eyes and turned to look at Simon as he started to speak, "What exactly is a Circle member? and why are they trying to kill us?". " All we know is, a long time ago, the circle letter revolt. A lot of ShadowHunters got killed. Including my father." Jace said, "and since the revolt, we've been forbidden the even hear about the circle." Alec added on.
"But how is that possible? It's your history!" Clary exclaimed, ugh there she goes again, opening her big annoying mouth.(*Gif is Evie mocking Clary when she says It's your history*) "Ha, says the girl who didn't know she was a ShadowHunter" I said as I grabbed Alec's hand and started to walk to where Izzy was on some computers and Jace followed, "Yea, yea your right. And now the only person who knows the truth is missing, so I don't care about your rules or whats forbidden. Theres got to be someone out there who can tell us why they've taken my mother" She said, but only Jace was listening. "There is-, he started to walk away, "-you coming?" he asked Clary, "Yea" She replied and started to follow him with the mundane behind her. "No, No, No not you" he said putting his hand on the mundanes shoulder, "Hey were a package deal" she told him, ugh she's already annoying me, "yea" the mundane said, I walked up beside Jace and said, "There are runes all over the training room floor that would kill your mundie boyfriend". "He's not my-" "I'm not. W-", "Were just friends" the mundie said looking back and fourth between me and Clary, "Best friends" Clary corrected him, ouch friend zoned, that's gotta hurt. "Yea" he said turning and smiling at Clary, "and i'm tough, i'm sure I can handle runes, so uh, bring on the runes" he continued as he hit Jace's arm in a 'bro' like manner, only to shake away pain in his hand afterward. "What exactly are runes?" Mundie asked, I snickerd a bit as I pulled out my stele and walked to wear Alec and Isabelle were. "They give ShadowHunters our demon fighting powers" Isabelle said as she took her stele out and ran it over her Angelic Power rune at the same time I did. "So hot" said Mundie looking at me and Isabelle, Jace cleared his throat as if to say 'watch it mundie' and Alec stepped closer to me and put his hand on the small of my back (what is with him?), "The runes" Mundie said trying to get himself back in the clear.
"Don't worry Clary, I'll watch over the best friend, and Evie will help to, right?" She said looking at Simon the whole time, "Yup" I said smirking and crossing my arms. "In fact, I was just about to make breakfast" Izzy said in a seductive tone, "ooh, on second thought, the runes might be less lethal" Jace said with crossed arms, "I'll pretend I didn't hear that. Please excuse my brothers lack of manners. This is Alec, and i'm Isabelle" She said as she pointed back at Alec and then put her hand out for Mundie to kiss, but he grabbed it and shook it awkwardly as he started to speak, "Lewis. Simon. Simon Lewis. Two first names. Am i still talking?" he stuttered and Izzy giggled. "See, best friend safe and sound here." Jace said to Clary, "Ugh, Jace if anything happens to him-" Clary got cut off by 'Simon', "Go on, i'll be fine..I think..", he smiled at me and Isabelle. "Where are we going?" Clary asked, "Training room" Jace replied and Clary started to walk off. He leaned over to Simon and put a hand on his shoulder and said, "Hey, uh, don't eat the food, dangerous...". "Jace, coming?" Clary asked turning around to look back at him, "Yea, I'm coming" he said and then ran off to catch up with her leaving the three of us there with the Mundie.
"Ok let's go talk" I said as I grabbed Alec by the wrist and started walking to the kitchen that he had shown me earlier. When we made it to the kitchen I sat on the counter in front of where Alec stood, Isabelle grabbed some food for her and Simon and started to walk way when she turned around, "You coming Evie?" she asked, "Actually, I think i'm going to stay here and give Alec some company" I said smerking at her, "Ok then" She said at she winked and turned around, I like her already. "So, Alec, tell me about yourself" I said as I crossed my legs and put my hands in my lap. Alec cleared his throat of the food he was eating and came closer to me putting his hands on either side of me on the counter, "Well there not much really. My name is Alec Lightwood, I'm twenty, Isabelles my sister and Jace is my foster brother. Oh, and I like the bow and arrow best. What about you?" he asked as he moved closer. "I'm Evie Mero-Bane, I'm nineteen, I'm the only Mero left alive, and I prefer a seraph blade, sometimes two" I replied moving my arms from my lap to around Alec's neck. "What do you say, we go out for some fun? Get ice cream and kill demons?" I said with a smirk, "Sound alight to me" Alec said at he helped me down from the counter. I grabbed his right hand and started to lead him towards the front doors of the institute.

*Flash back*
"Please, don't leave me" the young girl begged of her brother.
Her brother, Nick, let off a sigh before bending down to his sister's height and giving her a hug. He looked into her eyes, and gently rested his hands on his little sister's shoulders.
"I promise you, I'll be back. Until then, Magnus will take care of you, alright?"
The girl nodded before Magnus stepped into the room. He turned to Nick.
"Be careful alright" Nick gave a short nod at this.
Little did they all know that Nick wouldn't be coming home this time.
