"Is she awake yet?"

A familiar voice in the room gave me the motivation to open my eyes.

Mistake.
I was blinded by the extemely bright light in the room. I blinked for a few seconds so I could adjust my eyes to the lighting. There was a deafening silence and I could feel eyes boring through my skull. I looked around the room until I landed on Dominic leaning on the door frame. He stared at me with intensity, I felt like an ant under his gaze.

"How you feeling?"

Shane asked coming to sit at my side.

"I'm OK I guess, but what happened?"

He furrowed his eyebrows

"You don't remember?"

I shook my head and winced.

"Take it easy Ashlynne you still have a minor concussion from the fall."

A middle aged man with graying hair and a white lab coat stepped into the room. The doctor I presume.

"I'm doctor Fletcher."

I nodded, feeling too weak to shake his hand.
What's is going on with me today?
It was probably the time of the month or something; but that doesn't explain why I'm in a hospital room with a minor concussion.

"What happened?"

Taking a brief moment to look down at his clipboard he spoke.

"From what your friends told me, you where tackled to the ground. Now the impact of the fall didn't kick in until a few seconds after but what made it worst was that your vitals were really low meaning hadn't eaten anything in a while."

I looked at the doctor wanting him to connect the dots instead of me. He seemed to understand.

"The point is. You fainted"

I had to take a moment to process what he said but I was pulled out of my thoughts.

"May I ask when last you ate?"

I looked at him blankly. When last I ate......when last I ate.......

".....I don't know"

Footsteps where heard down the hall and Dominic's original spot was empty. Before I could say anything Alex spoke.

"Don't worry about him-"

He didn't finish his sentence. Besides that weird moment I didn't like the whole hospital vibe. I wanted to get out of here and fast.

"Well from the information we've gathered before and after we examined you, you need to get some food in you stomach as soon as you're checked out of this hospital."

The doctor looked at me severely. Alex being silent for the past five minutes stood up and looked at the doctor.

"When will she be able to leave?"
