Suddenly he launches across the room at me with a roar and he both go flying into the wall.

“Lucie!!”

Ignoring the calls from the people I hold most dear, I jump across the room and away from Lucas. Moments before this started I took a moment to remember all the advise my dad had given me before he died. And one piece did come flying back to me: “he bit you my darling, not fully, so you won’t become a full vampire. But if you call upon that new stream in your blood, you’ll be the greatest vampire hunter in history!!” suddenly remembering that brought fire into my soul and my blood boiled. That’s when I became (temporary) a vampire.

Taking a low stance I get ready to pounce as he still seems confused on how I got away so fast. Leaping and then flying, him just turning round in time, I land on him, sending us through the floor and to the floor below.

Pouncing and jumping, bouncing off walls. Clawing and scratching, biting each other. Both trying to snap the others neck. A fight to the death. That’s the way vampires fight. Soaring back through the hole in the ceiling and into the hall.

Screams coming from Sophie again, but I’m not able to stop and look, if I do, I die. The screams become louder and louder.

“Lucie!! What the hell is going on Matt!?!” Harrison’s scared voice carries through the hall and rips my heart in two. What ever happened here, I didn’t want him to see.

“Get him!!” Lucas roars as he see’s my pause and four of his followers jump towards my brother. I glance up and look into his eyes, bloody idiot. He just made the beast in me angry! A roar erupts from my throat and his eyes go from gloating to frightened. I race around the room, making him have to concentrate on where I am not my movements-then I strike. Gaining closer and closer to him, nails beginning to lengthen, blood beginning to bay for his death. Coming closer and closer. Darting behind him then in front of him. I want to face him when I kill him. I grab him and throw him into the wall. Then racing up to him once more:

“Can you remember the fear? The feeling of your blood rushing as I came closer?” I whisper in his ear, the same words he said to me when we met again,

“Yes, I will remember. You make a fabulous vampire. But how?”

“You, last time, you tried to turn me. Can’t you remember the taste of my blood? You did bite me, but not fully. You gave me the gene. It’s your fault, if you hadn’t done that; you wouldn’t be facing your death right now.” Then I begin to shout, making sure every god damn vampire in this room can hear me:

“Ladies and gentlemen! The great Lord Lucas, about to die.” Then I throw his head sideways and sink my new teeth into his neck. Blood flows down his neck, into my mouth. It taste’s disgusting! How can they drink this all the time?! But then Lucas suddenly roars and then beings to melt. I never knew what would happen if I bit him, I never thought that he would melt. I step backwards and wipe my mouth at the same time; everyone in the room seems transfixed in him. Then he’s gone. Just a puddle left. I turn and then run to Sophie. Darting around the wall, unchaining her and then in front of her to catch her. I lay her down on the floor, she’s still breathing and there are no teeth marks on her. Sighing in relief. Then looking up to see Edward and Matt running towards us.

Edward suddenly throws his arms around me and picks me up of the floor,

“Lucie, I thought I’d lost you baby!!” drawing back from him I see tears falling down his cheeks; I raise my hand to his face and softly wipe them away.

“You’ll never lose me, ever” then I stand on my tip toes and kiss him, the kiss seems to last forever. And everything around us seems to disappear. There’s nothing else in the world except us-until.

Suddenly there’s a roar from behind us and we break away from each other, but I remain in his arms.

“You!! You killed him!!!” a vampire roars at me, his finger pointing the way.

“Well I am sorry. But my family comes before thinking about vampires! Being honest I couldn’t give a damn about any of you!!”

“Oh, I am sorry to hear that... My daughter” I turn to see a vampire coming towards me. I’m about to correct him when I see it. This man, I know him.

“Who...who are you?”

“Don’t you remember?” the way he walks, his voice-his voice saved me once. Once a long time ago.

“D...dad?” a smile plays on his face and then I know, my dad didn’t die-he turned.

“You killed my so called killer darling, of that I thank you. But about what you just said? How your family comes first and all that. How you don’t care about us? Am I not your family too? Do you not care for me?” I look straight into his eyes and I can’t see anything of my father anymore, just the way he walks, looks and talks. That’s all that’s left, my dad’s dead.

“No, not anymore. You’re a vampire now; you’re not my dad anymore. You only look like him. I’m sorry. But my dad’s dead”

“Very well child. But you might see differently very, very soon” then he nods at the vampires that still circle Harrison. They start to part and suddenly something runs past me. Then dad is behind Harrison, with his hand around his throat.

“Noooo!”

“Like I said, you would see differently. But this is gonna last. I’m going to give you one last chance darling. Will you join?”

“I will never join such...such...barbarians! But please” I run towards him “don’t hurt him. Please. Is he not your son?”

“No, he is not. Only you are my child, this one has no backbone! Not like you, no, nothing like you”

“I don’t understand?”

“You will, in time. But it seems you have made up your mind. Your defiantly not coming? Are you?”

I shake my head this tears starting to roll down my cheeks.

“Very well then. He can blame you later.”

“W...what? What?” suddenly wings spring out of his back and he soars into the air, but he’s not alone. He still has Harrison in his arms!!

“NOOO!” I scream after them and try to chase them but someone holds me back! I can’t just let this happen! I can still see them flying off into the sky and my dad’s voice suddenly echo’s in my head,

“If you look hard enough you will know where to find us. He will not be harmed until you come. I promise, my daughter” I know it’s not a memory, it’s my dad. He, for some reason, has powers beyond anything I could have thought of. And I sit there, staring after my father and brother, knowing from that moment on, there’s only going to be one thing on my mind. I only have one task-I’m going to find my brother. Whatever it takes.

“Harrison. I will find you. Just hold on, please. Harrison” I whisper under my breath, making a promise and binding myself to it.
