Chapter Ten

"That's right Chaerin. I love you." Was this just a way to shut Joy up or make Sehun jealous?

"Jungkook you don't have to-"

"No Chaerin. I really love you." Jungkook said surely. I looked at Sehun who stood next to Joy and felt a certain something. It was like a disappointment and hurt but it wasn't jealousy. Sure, I was sad over him taking Joy's side but it was more because I thought that as a brother, he would stand up for me. As a brother... I turned towards Jungkook and saw his determined face to protect me from Joy and his confident confession replayed over and over again in my head. At this point of time, Joy stalked off, annoyed and the ten of us were left standing there.

"Then why were you so keen on pushing Chaerin and Sehun together?" Baekhyun asked and Jungkook smiled sadly.

"I want her to be happy you know? We all know very well that she loves him." I walked up closer to Jungkook and gave a small smile.

"As a brother Jungkook. I know it now, I was confused at first because I felt so close to him even after I knew that I was not related to him by blood. I wondered whether what I felt for him was actually not sibling love but now, I'm feeling disappointed that he didn't stand up for me as a brother should. I don't feel the typical jealousy that one would feel when their crush likes someone else." Everyone was in utter shock.

"So it's sibling love after all." Sehun mumbled and I frowned.

"I have no reason to love you even if it's sibling love now." I retorted. Sehun's eyes grew sad and I sensed a hint of guilt.

"So Chaerin, the question is, do you love our Jungkookie?" Hoseok teased and Jungkook glared at him.

"You really talk the wrong things at the wrong times don't you!" Hoseok grinned sheepishly and I could feel the mood lighten up slightly. The shock was slowly going away. I saw Jungkook's eyes glistening and his face with a slight look of worry.

"I hope that we can still be best friends Chaerin?" Jungkook stuttered and I gave him a hug.

"Why when we can be so much more?" I whispered. Jungkook broke away from the hug and looked at me.

"Chaerin, did you just say that?" Yoongi asked and Namjoon clapped his hands.

"Our maknae with our favourite girl~" Jimin cooed and Jungkook grinned proudly.

"I'm the golden maknae~" Jungkook sang.

"Being all proud now huh?" Seokjin snickered and Jungkook stuck out his tongue.

Sehun's POV

I saw Jungkook and Chaerin laughing at each other for not getting together sooner and my fist clenched. Come on...Just moments ago I felt very strongly for Joy but now..Why do I feel so bitter watching them together? I wasn't so sure of my feelings before...can it be that I like her? Anyway. It doesn't matter now. Chaerin has already found Jungkook and I decided to believe in Joy so there's no turning back now.

"Sehun, what are you gonna do now?" Namjoon patted me on the back. He had always been the most understanding one and he understood that I was torn in between.

"I'll still stay with Chaerin, Jungkook and Baekhyun of course. There's no going back home for me. I might believe that Joy is a nice person actually and all but her mother definitely isn't."

"I know that you actually like Chaerin. Sehun, I can tell."

"N-no, I don't."

"I'm just going to tell you that it's going to be awkward with the two of them at home. Baekhyun would be fine as he is close to Jungkook and clearly has no feelings towards Chaerin in that manner but you. You have always been closer to Chaerin and I. With Chaerin now with Jungkook, would you be okay?" Namjoon asked.

"I'll be perfectly alright. I told you that I didn't like her and it's true. Don't worry about me Namjoon." I assured him.

"Then your problem is getting Chaerin to accept you even as a brother again. I mean, you did defend her enemy." Namjoon laughed slightly.

"I'll talk to her. I'm sure that she'll just say that I'll see the light sooner or later and that she would shrug it off after awhile. Besides, I heard from Jongin that Chaerin kind of gave him a chance to gain her trust again so as her closest brother, I should be fine. Thanks Namjoon." Namjoon ruffled my hair and walked back to talk with the rest of them. I don't like her...do I?
