Little Miss not so perfect

Summer holidays

I wake up to the sunlight streaming through the big glass windows up above me. I restlessly roll around under the sheets stretching and yawning. I finally open my eyes fully and shake Seth to wake him up.

"Seth, babe wake up." I whisper realizing I'm only in a bra and underwear from last night.

Seth groans and faces me. He caresses my cheek and kisses my forehead. "what's the time?"he asks searching the room for a clock.

"ummmm about........ 10:00." I say reading off the alarm clock beside the bed.

"too early!" he mumbles and rolls over. I giggle and nudge him gently.

"whatever." I reply and lift myself up off the bed. I pull on an oversized shirt which lands at my knees. I jog down the stairs to the kitchen. I take out the frozen waffles that are sitting in the freezer and put them into a greased fry pan until they are golden brown on both sides. I then drizzle them with golden syrup and add a blob of Ice cream on top of both waffles. Then i lay them on two different plates and set them on the island bench. I run half way up the stairs and call: "Seth I've made waffles!"

I hear a big groan than him saying 'coming' in an annoyed voice. I laugh at him and set myself down on one of the bar stool staring out at the beautiful view of the ocean.

I feel the moist sand under my feet as I run down to the water and sit down just where the water meets with the sand bank, so the water is just touching my toes. I feel the cool wind whip my hair around and send goose bumps all over my body. I close my eyes and think of the events that Occurred today. I smile remembering Seth taking an hour to come down and have breakfast so me having to race up the stairs to see what was taking him so freaking long! He then, unexpectedly pulled me down on top of him whilst tracing patterns on my back with a concentrated look on his face. I watched his eyes amused by his finger drawing circles on my skin. Then I leaned over and kissed his cheek making my way to his mouth and kissing for at least 10 mins. After a while I rested my hands on his chest and placed my head on top of my hands.

"y'know something?" I asked gazing into his eyes.

"no, what?" he asked.

"we're not even officially dating, you never asked me out we just started hanging out together than kissing and then here we are." I giggled.

We both started laughing and then Seth's face got serious.

"Brooklyn May Taylor," he started tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"my middle names not May!" I argued trying to break the seriousness.

"whatever! Brooklyn Taylor," he started looking at me with a annoyed smile. "will you go out with me?"

"that would be my pleasure." I said back laughing.

"good now where were we?" he asked playing with a strand of my hair. We rolled over and started kissing.

I smile remembering the day.

"hey whatcha doing." I see Seth sit down next to me in his board shorts.

"trying to get away from you." I smile.

He chuckles at my sarcastic statement and then kisses my cheek. I cuddle into his chest and he rocks me back and forth. My eyelashes brush his skin as I practice batting my eyelashes. I watch our shadow formed on the sand and watch as it moves from side to side.

"we gonna go in the water?" he asks stroking the side of my arm.

"yeah sure." I whisper.

When my toes touch the edge of the water, I feel Seth's arms wiggle their way underneath me and then yank me up in the air, over his shoulder. I scream and laugh at the same time. When the water starts to touch my back I scream.

"ah it's cold!" I squeal, but Seth still lets me slip off his shoulder into the cold icy water.

Seth puts his arm around my head and I snuggle in.

"I'll take you out tomorrow okay?"he asks.

"okay where?" I ask.

"it's a surprise!" he exclaims.

"I hate surprises!" I almost shout.

Seth laughs. "brook."

"what?" I ask confused.

"your face!" he laughs even more.

"are you laughing at me!" I say crossing my arms over my chest and trying to make an angry face but can't cause the grin keeps making its way onto my lips. "stop laughing at me!"

"I'm not laughing at you i'm laughing with you." he says correcting me.

"smart ass." I comment under my breath.

He just chuckles and embraces me in a hug.
