Little Miss not so perfect

Lonely formal!!!

I look over at Erin, Tyler, Paris, Toby, alexia, sam, Stacey, Kye and then at the empty seat next to me, where no date is sitting just a plain leather seat, all because of my moms rule that I can't have a relationship with a guy or even take a date to formal, and to make it even worse she is there-at formal- which means if I try sneak a date she will find out and I will get in trouble! I can't dance with no date so I'll just have to sit and watch, which will just be torture!

"why so sad?" Paris asks holding onto Toby's arm. I give Paris a 'really' look. "oh right, no date." she looks down at the ground of the pink homma, that my mom rented, and let's out a sad sigh. My eyes follow the countless buildings we're passing by. When we get to a white circular building the car comes to a jolt. The front driver opens the privacy wall separating the driver from the customers.

"you're here! What time would you like me to pick you up at?" the African driver, in an obvious white suit, asks.

"oh we will call you when we want to be picked up." alexia answers.

"alright, have fun!" he replies when we exit the door.

I enter the building and take a look at my surroundings.

"meh." I let out, not satisfied. "my house is better." I say quietly so nobody hears. After all I don't want to boast. I step onto the pink crystal flooring, that satisfies me, and glance at the several diamond chandeliers hanging up in a row down the ceiling.

"where's the food?" alexia asks.

"I think it's down their at the side of the wall, on that glass table." Stacey answers, in her sweet voice, pointing down where the table is.

"oh yes!" alexia smiles trying to run, in her high heels, down to the food.

"your mom is the best!" Kye exclaims admiring the chandeliers.

"yeah." I whisper. "my mom is wealthy."

"wealthy? You mean mega rich!" Erin almost shouts. "you should see her house kye! They have got students on the top level to stay, in which they all have their own room and balcony. And then there is the pool and spa on the ROOF! Not to mention the gym on the bottom level plus beauty salon and a wardrobe of clothes the size of a double garage. Oh and I forgot, the students have their own indoor pool! There is heaps more, you have to see it all to believe it!" Erin exaggerates.

"mmpth," I make a funny sound. "I think your over reacting Erin." I say.

"whatever! And I thought my parents were rich."she adds.

Alexia runs back with a handful of pretty cakes and biscuits. With some shoved in her mouth.

"bese bar bawishious." alexia tries to complement with her mouth full of food. I giggle so does Erin, Paris and Stacey.

"alexia!" we all say in unison.

"what?" alexia makes a face.

As soon as a slow dancing song gets played I'm left a loner without my friends. I unhappily walk over to a small staircase, out to the garden, and take a seat. I try and be happy for my friends as it is a special night but find it hard as I'm not experiencing the fun their having right now. I spot my mom walking over to me.

"what's up." she takes a seat next to me.

"I don't have a date! That's what's wrong." I say. "isn't that what formal is about taking a date and catching up with them and friends."

"not always, you can have fun without a date."

"mom you can't be this strict with boys forever! I won't be able to cope with it. I'll probably end up breaking most of the rules because I can't deal with it, and then I'll get in trouble, you'll get angry and that won't be any good for the both of us." I almost yell.

"well I'll just be on the stage if you need me." my mon says before leaving me to sook.

"hey." I hear a voice in front of me, but I can't see who it is cause im covering my eyes with my hands. "are you alright." I freeze. I know who it is. I don't dare move. If I do I'll most likely embarrass myself, after all I've never talked to him alone.
