I've been in the hospital. I'm okay. I promise.

I have a nasty red stain down my shoulders and arms, but I'm all right. It will all heal, outward injuries usually do.

It still stings. They say I'm lucky it didn't get on my face, or worse, in my eyes.

I wasn't the first burn victim, too.

It's stupid... but I was headed for the book from the western seller at the time. I never made it. He's probably moved by now. After all, the Overseers were after him. I'm sorry. I might never find a way to learn about Earth now.

Sister, the bad rains are destroying the crops. They burn everything they touch and it's getting worse.

The doctor here noticed my young age and asked me if I was joining the war with the others, like you. I broke down a bit.

Where are you? Is Earth treating you well?

I need a response.

I promised I'd never ask it, but, since I always delete these anyways...

Are you still alive?
