In an ideal world, Luke would be in New York. He'd be travelling the city, visiting all the different stores, meeting all different people. He'd be living in a cute little apartment with a dog who he'd name Finn. He'd have a great job as a photographer, and be earning a decent amount of money. And, best of all, he'd have a boyfriend (preferably Dylan O'Brien) who he'd love and they'd love him just as much.
But unfortunately, Luke did not live in an ideal world. Instead, here he was sitting on a stuffy aeroplane with his earphones plugged in, and leaving his amazing country, Australia, to live in a place miles and miles away from him named France. As well as this, he did not have a job as a photographer, instead being a student at school. (After all, he was only 16). And finally, he did not have a boyfriend. He was single as fuck, and has been his whole life. Unfortunately.
"Luke Hemmings. Turn your music down. I can hear it from here." Luke's mum scolded, rolling her eyes.
Luke sighed, but agreed anyway.
"Don't have that attitude with me, mister. Be happy! We're moving to Paris! Isn't that what you want?"
"Why would I want that?" Luke asked. "I had everything in Australia."
"Come on now, Luke. Don't be so difficult," His mum replied. "France is great. It's beautiful and friendly and just fantastic. And I think you're forgetting that your father is getting a pay rise due to this move."
"I'm not being difficult mum," Luke said holding up his hands. "I just didn't want to move this early. Plus, I can't even speak French!"
"You'll learn," She said nodding. "It's actually really easy."
"Whatever," Luke mumbled, closing his eyes and resting his head against the plane window. "I'm going to sleep. Wake me up when we're in France."
Luke closed his eyes and thought about living in France. Would it be like living in Australia? How would he learn the language? Would he meet friends? A boyfriend?
Oh, little did he know.
