The One Where Monica Gets Two New Roommates
-Chapter 2-

I hugged the wet bride tightly in my arms, unaware of the rest blinking at me blankly, looking to each other confused.
"Oh. Everybody, this is Emma. You rememeber Emma Mon, don't you?" Rachel pulled me towards the five, motioning towards a very familiar face.
"Yes, sure, Hi!" The brunette smiles sweetly at me, circling the couch to give me a firm handshake.
"Oh my god. Monica Geller?!" I held her hand tighter once I realized who that was. I knew that girl. I knew her when she was thrice her size..
"Uh..yeah, " She answered sheepishly, a blush coming to her cheeks.
"Oh my god! You look gorgeous," I told her, pulling her into a hug. She hugged me back after grinning proudly.
"This is Ross," Rachel continued, waving towards a brunette guy sitting glumly on the couch with an open umbrella in his lap.
"Oh, I know Ross!" I nodded, grinning at him. Ross was like my brother in high school. Always the protectant type.
"Emma! Emma Steves?" A smile started forming on his lips as he stood up to hug me as well.
"And this is Chandler. He was in Lincoln High as well," Rachel told me. I looked to the guy to recognize that he was the same one that had yelled out that he won a million dollars when I came in. I nodded towards him, smiling. I didn't recognize him from anywhere before though.
"And this is Phoebe and Joey," Monica continued, pointing to a blond girl and a very attractive guy, I must say.
"Sit down," Monica dragged us towards a brown couch where I took a seat awkwardly next to Rachel.
"Any more surprises, Rach?" Monica asked, looking to the coffee house's door.
"I don't think so.." Rachel answered, looking back too.
"Well then, go on, tell us!" Phoebe impatiently said from the ground.
Rachel nodded, taking a deep breath," Oh God... well, it started about a half hour before the wedding. I was in the room where we were keeping all the presents, and I was looking at this gravy boat. This really gorgeous Lamauge gravy boat. When all of a sudden-" She pauses then talking to the waitress handing her her coffee,"Sweet 'n' Lo?- I realized that I was more turned on by this gravy boat than by Barry! And then I got really freaked out, and that's when it hit me: how much Barry looks like Mr. Potato Head!"
I lied back on the couch, sighing. She had a point, though. Barry did indeed look like Mr.Potato Head.
She shifted a bit in her seat, ignoring all the flabbergasted looks she was getting from the gang," Y'know, I mean, I always knew he looked familiar, but... Anyway, I just had to get out of there, and I started wondering 'Why am I doing this, and who am I doing this for?"
She turned to Monica then, smiling sadly,"So anyway I just didn't know where to go, and I know that you and I have kinda drifted apart, but you're the only person I knew who lived here in the city."
"Who wasn't invited to the wedding," Monica commented sarcastically. I had to stiffle a laugh at that.
"Ooh, I was kinda hoping that wouldn't be an issue..." Rachel replied, looking to me for help.
"What about you, Emma?" Ross finally asked.
"Well," I gulped, suddenly self-concious as the many faces stared at me, "I..well, I .. Um.." I stuttered , looking up to Rachel for help when I saw the many sympathetic nods from them. They got it. I'm not ready to say anything yet because I wasn't really sure why I had ran away..
