After delivering the flowers to the farmers wives to make into wreaths, I set off to find Einar.

He was never too hard to find. Einar was always chatting with someone in the village, or working on the farm with his father. I found him playing with the children.

Today, they were playing a game where Einar was the great warrior that had to save the damsel who had been kidnapped and taken to Utgard by an evil troll. It was one of the kids favorite games.

"Do not fear my love, I will save you!" Einar held a stick threateningly towards a small brunette boy who stood on top of a large rock.

A smaller girl with light blonde hair, I remembered her name to be Alva, stood behind the boy who was "the troll." Freckles speckled her nose, and she had rather large eyes that made me think of a doe.

Einar and the boy started to battle clumsily, flailing their arms in crazy directions. Einar never was too good at using weapons.

Though it was Einar's lifelong dream to be a real viking, his lack of control made him an easy target. All the warriors had made fun of him. Therefore, he went back to farming like his father. Einar always pretended like it wasn't a big deal, but I knew better. He would have given anything to get away from life on the farm.

After a long and dreary battle that lasted aproximity two minutes, Einar dramatically stabbed the "troll" through the heart. He spun around a couple times, all the while making pained noises. Then the "troll" fell to the ground dead.

Triumphently, Einar lifted Alva from the rock and twirled her around. She squealed with joy.

I smiled. Einar always knew how to enchant the children.

As soon as Einar placed Alva back on the ground (Who seemed a bit disappointed that the twirling had ended) he caught my gaze.

"I'm so glad your safe my lady, but I must return to my village. It has been far too long since I visited a certain someone." Einar bowed to Alva, and strode over to me.

"Looks like someone finally decided to get out of bed." Einar teased, stepping in front of me with his hands on his hips.

"At least I was using my time wisely instead of playing childish games" I craned my neck to look him eye-to-eye.

I hadn't realized it, but I over the past couple months Einar had grown a distinct amount. He used to be shorter than me, but now he towered over me a great deal.

Now that I thought about it, a lot had changed about Einar. He used to have a boyish face, with unruly brunette hair that always stood in unfathomable directions. He even the cliché gap between his two front teeth. Now, his jawline had become more distinct, and his teeth grew in straight. He even started to get more muscular. And his hair, well, nothing much changed about his hair.

"I don't think sleeping counts as using your time wisely" Einar laughed.

"Whatever." I said rolling my eyes.

By then, people were flooding the paths. It was about half and hour until noon; which was when the celebration would begin.

"Here, I have something to show you before the celebration begins." Einar looped his arm through mine, and off we went.

Eeeek!! I'm so sorry this took so long to write. I had the extreme case of writers block. Next chapter might include some romance just to make up for the long wait. *wink wink*

Anyway, I have STARR testing this week, and I'm so terrified. Wish me luck!
