Alex's Point of view
My eyes, red from crying, flicked up to the overhead panel as the seatbelt sign illuminated. That couldn't be right. We weren't supposed to land for at least another 4 hours. I sighed and fastened my seatbelt up, i heard it click into place before the plane lurched.
Was that supposed to happen? I looked out my window above the wing to see thick black smoke spewing from the engine underneath. That definitely was not good. I heard a woman yelling that her child's seatbelt wasn't working. In a moment of madness i undid my belt and ran over to assist her, safely securing the wriggling, crying child to its seat before turning back to return to my seat. The plane lurched once again, more violently this time and the overhead locker swung open, dispensing bags out their designated places and down into the aisles of the plane. A Particularly heavy one collided with my temple.
This, combined with another violent lurch of the plane caused me to fall, my head hitting off the ground. My vision started to cloud, i closed my eyes and i vaguely felt the plane lurch downwards once more, except this time, it didn't stop.
One single thought entered my mind as i blacked out.
Gillian.
