Piper and I reach the school but when we are asked by the front desk where we are going, I say...
"Just to go talk to Mr. Hansel quickly."
"He is not in this office during this time." He replies back to me, fiddling with his pen between his fingers.
"Where is he?"
"In his room."
"What room?"
"The room he lives in during the game. It's in the boys' dorm building." Okay so the girls have their own building and boys have their own.
"Okay, thank you." We walk out of the school and down to the building we have never been in before. I don't know if we are allowed to go in there but we will find out soon. We walk in and everything seems the same like our dorm building.
"May I help you girls?" The front desk asks and I walk up to him.
"I want to talk to Mr. Hansel, is he here?"
"Yes, I'll call him and let him know you want him." Piper shyly stands behind me like a shadow the whole time. He picks up at phone and dials something before talking. After saying to him that he has visitors, Mr. Hansel allows for us to go see him. He really doesn't know who wants to see him but he probably knows it's me. "He is down the hall and the first door on the left."
"Okay," I reply back, walking down the hall. I'm curious where the boys are unless they all are on the second floor in their rooms. Maybe I'll bump into Evan again...
I knock on the door, waiting until he opens the door. When he does, a smile appears on his face when he realizes it is me.
"I knew it was you Adeline. What's the matter?"
"I want answers." I spit out and he furrow his eyebrows.
"For what?"
"My real parents. If my father was a vampire Pureblood, I want to know who took his spot after his death." He sticks his head out and looks down both ways of the hall before opening the door wider.
"Come in." Mr. Hansel mutters while Piper and I walk in. He quietly shuts the door and locks it while I look around his room. It's small but rather larger than ours. There is a mini kitchen with a table and chairs to sit and eat. There is a living room and the television is on so he must be watching TV.
There is a bathroom and another room with a bed. It's nice and cozy.
"Please, sit." He says, gesturing his arm towards the couch. Piper and I sit down next to each other and Mr. Hansel pulls up a chair to sit across from us. He turns off the TV with the remote that was on the coffee table.
"I was wondering if you know because you were best friends with my real dad." I start the conversation and he sighs.
"Listen, I didn't say anything else because knowing that your real parents are dead is already too much."
"I know but it's not like you are forcing this upon me. I want to know."
"Fine, fine. Your father was suppose to take over the country, Maywood. But because he died, his father still controlled it until your father's younger brother, Peyton, was old enough to take it. So he did."
"You are telling me that I have an uncle?" Mr. Hansel nods his head, shifting in his seat.
"Yes, he is the controller of that country right now."
"How far is the country?"
"Maywood is the second largest country in the vampire world besides this one that we are in now, Allieset Dark. Each country is separated by a large river flowing through them. It isn't that far."
"Does he know I'm here?" I ask and Mr. Hansel's icy eyes glare in mine.
"No, I haven't talked to him in a while. After your father's death, we still kept communication together but eventually it faded."
"I wonder how he will react if he knows I'm here."
"I don't know actually, your uncle Peyton is full of surprises."
"Is he strict or mean?" I question and Mr. Hansel shrugs.
"Let's just say he's bi-polar." I snort at his answer and Piper tries not to laugh next to me.
"I want to meet him."
"I can try and call him." He suggests and I nod.
"I would love that."
"Sounds like a plan." He smiles and I smile back, clapping my hands together.
"So that's all."
"Great, what are you guys going to do now? Go in your room?" He asks when we all get up from sitting and I turn to Piper.
"Yeah, we are. Maybe watch a movie or something." I say, Piper staring back at me. Well this is awkward.
"Okay, well I hope you guys have fun... Don't get in trouble." He warns jokingly and I sarcastically laugh.
"Oh no, don't worry." We walk out of his room after he says bye to us. We leave the building, sadly not bumping to any of the boys.
When we walk out, I look around us. The sun is setting and it's getting dark. I grab Piper by the arm and I tug her towards the back of the building. We walk to the fence and it's barb wired on the top.
"Are we seriously going to climb this?" She screeches at me and I grab the fence, starting to climb it.
"It's not hard, you just need to use those long legs and stretch over."
"Well as you can see, I am not tall like you! I just reached average height!" She gestures at her legs and I swing my legs over the barb wire. I let go and I land onto the ground, onto the other side of the fence. I look at Piper through the metal that is separating us.
"Come' on don't back down now. Over there-" I turn, pointing through a couple of trees where a town is below a hill. "-Is where we are going to go. Just for this night."
"Fine." She huffs out, grabbing the fence and starting to climb. When she reaches the top she starts to form a line of sweat on her forehead. I can see it glisten from the moonlight above us. "Here," She says, balancing herself and taking her glasses off.
"What?"
"Take them, I don't want them to break if I fall."
"You will fall if you don't have them on. Do you see the size of those lenses?" She grumbles under her breath, sticking them back on her face.
"Shut up." Piper says before going back to try and get over. I start shifting my weight side to side with anticipation because she's taking so long. I don't want to get caught or anything. Eventually she reaches my side but misses a hole from the fence and let goes.
She tries to grab something and her hand skims one of the sharp points of the barbed wire. She lets out a yelp before landing on one foot but it gives out when she falls on her butt. I try not to laugh while she gets up, wiping her butt.
"Great, you are bleeding in the vampire world." I say jokingly, grabbing her wrist and showing her palm. There's a gash with blood oozing out. She licks it away, trying to make it stop.
"Sorry I am not Ms. I-sneak-out-all-the-time." We start to walk down the hill, getting a better view of a small town.
"Oh knock it off, I have never sneaked out of my house in the human world." She darts her eyes towards me, not believing what I am saying.
"Fine, fine. It was once but this was my first time climbing over a barb wired fence."
"Liar!"
"It's true!"
Ello. So I have no school this week. It's my spring break and I am so happy. I will be writing, writing and writing!
Well and go out with friends and have a good time ;)
