So we have established our hero, but almost every hero needs a villain to go along with it. Yes, there are books without a bad guy, which is good. But this focuses on that. If you do not plan to make a villain, then... skip this part.
So your villain is often the main cause of the conflict in your plot. Sometimes there are multiple villains, such as how both Brokenstar and Tigerstar were in the first arc. Or something like Omen Of The Stars, where there is a hole army of villains.
Sometimes, the villain isn't even a cat. It can be a dog, twoleg (human), badger, etc. But I'm focusing on cat villains.
Your villain generally isn't the main character, but books from their pov are usually lovely. They normally end up dead by the end of the book, though this isn't always the case.
One thing that bothers me is when villains have no reason to be evil. They want to be leader? Not a good enough reason. Give them A GOOD REASON TO BE EVIL!!!
A common example of a reason to be evil is revenge. Lots of cats want it for some reason. Like Scourge! Tigerstar attacked him as a kit, thus turning him into an evil, revenge-seeking cat. What's really interesting about Scourge is that he faked his loyalty to Tigerstar and ultimately killed him. It was very unexpected. Another cat that wanted revenge was Mapleshade! I don't know much about her, but gosh, she's awesome. So here are the good and bad villains.
Stereotypical villain:
· Dark brown tabby -_- (Brokenstar, Tigerstar, Bramblestar, Hawkfrost)
· Some other dark pelt (Scourge, Breezepelt, Crowfeather, Darkstripe, Mudclaw I think, etc.)
· amber eyes (TIGERSTAR, Brokenstar I think, Bramblestar, Breezepelt I think.)
· Villain is somehow related to hero (Yellowfang and Brokenstar, Firestar and Scourge, Bramblestar and Tigerstar, Breezepelt and Jayfeather/Lionblaze, Darkstripe and Graystripe, UGH)
· Villain is a TOM (EVERYONE EXCEPT FOR MAPLESHADE STARCLAN BLESS HER)
· Is probably from ShadowClan or some form of it (An original Clan that is meant to resemble ShadowClan)
· Villain feels no emotions?
· Villain has normal villain name like Dark, Spider, Tiger, etc.
· This isn't all! As usual, feel free to add more!
Not stereotypical villain:
· NOT A DARK BROWN TABBY
· Light fur like ginger, white, pale gray or brown, gold, etc
· Light eyes like gold or hazel (NOT GREEN OR BLUE!)
· Villain is not related to characters
· Villain is a SHE-CAT
· Is from WindClan or ThunderClan or RiverClan or any "good" Clan
· Villain feels guilt/regret after killing, or they feel sick when they see blood.
· Villain has a cute name like Rose, Honey, Light, Snow, Cloud!
