A loud boom cracks across the sky the sky looked as if it was being torn apart. Bluish purple light shot through the sky sending chills down my back. The ground trembled beneath my feat there was screams of terror everywhere, and each person around me was pale with fear. I wanted to run but I couldn't my dad grabbed my arm and pulled me through the chaotic crowd. We ran home and saw my Mom staring at the tv in horror I knew something was wrong we sat and watched the news,
"Everyone is scared today with the sudden eruption in the sky and the massive earthquake recently hitting New York." The news reporter informed.
"Scientist Malloy has the latest in the problem"
"Thank you, there is no time the atmosphere is collapsing what has happened today is just the beginning through this first hole we are losing oxygen rapidly we need all pilots retired, amateurs anyone who knows how to fly needs to report to NASA immediately." the words hit me like a monster truck the tv flashed off and I looked to my parents they were very quiet no one said anything for a long time. My parents gave each other a look I didn't understand.
" Come Lilly we need to get safe" my dad said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me from my seat "don't be scared everything will be alright you know I wouldn't let anything bad happen to you right?" we were running down the streets of New York I didn't know where we were going.
"Yes Daddy" I answered unsure we ran and ran for what seemed like hours. He led me into a small room.
"Stay here stay brave there is food over here that could last you for years whatever happens remember that I love you" he told me as he began to leave.
"Wait! when can I leave" I asked.
"When It's safe and the sky is blue again" he answered and left me alone. How could this happen we finally had world peace but now the world is in pieces. I heard another big boom and everything turned dark.
