(Y/n) and Flowey were lead through the catacombs by the rather tall goat-like monster. She seemed to be a caring mother, but, as Flowey had mentioned before, they would kill them. But to (Y/N), they was just another monster lurking in the midst of the darkness.
"Do you smell that?" Toriel asked the two little beings in her hold. (Y/N) lifted their head to catch the wafting aromatic smell of...nothing? They couldn't seem to smell anything.
"Err...no?"
Toriel looked like she was going to lose her sanity, but, with a couple of deep breaths, she held back what would've been rage.
"Wait here for a moment, dearies." And at that, she ran down a left corridor. (Y/N) looked down at Flowey and shrugged.
"So..what do you think it's gonna be?" She asked the Flower in an unusually calm tone.
"Heck if I know, I-I'm just a flower!.."
"Sorry..I just thought you knew a little bit about this place because, you know," She glanced about the place before speaking up again, "You've been here longer than I have!"
"Y-Yeah but...She really isn't who you think she is!-"
Toriel had returned, cutting off Flowey. She held a pastry of some sort with her soot-covered paws. (Y/N) could see little crimson spots benead the crust. Was it a pie?
"I made you a pie, dearies! A cherry pie!" She held the fresh-from-the-oven pastry infront of her two unexpected visitors. "...Perhaps you would like to see your new room, yes?"
(Y/N) tried to reply, but was cut off by the 'motherly' goat grasping onto her arm. She and Flowey was lead down a corridor to the right, and stopped suddenly at the first door.
"This is your room now!" Toriel exclaimed, pulling on the handle and opening the door to the room.
The door revealed a rather small room, but with various furnature scattered about the place: A small, red bed with a chest on the footside laid infront of the entrance, a wardrobe and a desk with a photo frame on it was beside the bed and lamps stood in the corners of the room.
It was much of a room for a child like (Y/N), which seemed to be a good thing considering she needed comfort from something - some place, rather - that she could be happy with. Flowey gulped in a state of fear, but she was oblivious to his actions.
"..Wow.." She spoke in awe of the rather tidy room. "Uh..Are you..sure this room isn't anyone else's, Miss Toriel?"
"..Yes yes, dearie," she replied to the child with hesitance as though something bugged her about (Y/N)'s question. "Er..I think I may have left the sink running, help yourself, my child.."
"T-Torie-" but before (Y/N) could even finish her sentence, the monster had already rushed down the hallway, out of her vision. "...Huh."
She walked to the desk and set Flowey down, making her way to the edge of the bed. She took a good long look at the duvet, but she was unsure why. Nonetheless, she laid herself on the bed once she took off her shoes.
Silence took place for a couple of minutes, until Flowey spoke up only to break it.
"So...W-What now?"
(Y/N) turned to him and shrugged.
"...Hmm..Well," He looked back and her and smiled. "Can I...show you something? Just come closer to the table..or uh..the floor."
"..Okay."
She pushed herself off the bed and took flowey from the table, setting the two of them down on the floor. He told her to stand up and without pausing, she did so. But what she didn't expect was her vision to go all dark and black. She felt the fear growing in her chest, until a small red heart, encased in a white box, appeared infront of her very own eyes.
"D-Don't worry..I.." Flowey's sentence faded into nothing, then shook himself and focused on what he was going to show her.
"This is your soul, the very culmination of your being."

". . .Strange isn't it?" Toriel muttered to the being from outside the ruins. "A child. . . A human child. . . in my ruins. But she hasn't fought any other monsters. She would just. . . smile and walk on."
"hm." A gruff voice replied blankly. "that's new. have your plans to. . . i dunno, kill her, succeeded yet?"
"Kill?" The word repeated in her mind, as a giggly chuckle escaped her mouth. "The child cannot even hold themselves up without being covered in dust and soot! I wont even mention the flower she brought with her, it is a quivering mess. At thiS rate, she will kill herself!"
Her laughter grew loud at the sound of (Y/N)'s death, but her instinct of a motherly being calmed her in seconds. In reality, she did not want to kill (Y/N), for all she wanted was to take care of a child without them having a sudden death.
". . .ahaha. . hah. . ." A tear escaped her eyesocket as the broken memories returned to her memory.
"knock knock." The being stated the famous joke starter.
". . Who is there?" Toriel replied with a meek and calmed tone.
"idair."
"Idair. . who?" Toriel felt a tingle of uncertainty in the back of her mind.
"i dare you. . ." They muttered.
"to kill the child."
