To you this family seems pretty normal right? Well, you may be correct. You may not be though...
"I hate you Mackenzie!" Stevie yelled as they argued. "I hate you more Stevie," Mackenzie yelled in complete anger "You're a spoiled brat. You don't care about anyone but yourself. I hate you, I hate everything about you. But most I hate being your sister!" Stevie ran out of their room as tears filled her eyes. "Stevie," her mom said "What's wrong?" "Mackenzie hates me!" Stevie cried harder. "No," Hannah-Mae said comforting "She didn't mean it. You guys were arguing and she probably said it because of anger, sweetie she didn't mean it." "Yes," Stevie stopped crying "She meant it, I'm a spoiled brat and she hates being my sister. This is why when she talks to me she shows no emotions." Hannah-Mae just hugged her child. Rubbing her daughters back with an evil look in her eyes. What was she thinking? She was thinking of ways to punish Mackenzie for hurting her 'angelic' sister. Did Stevie know of her mom punishing her sister? Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. But I can't tell you, so continue reading.
"Mackenzie!" Hannah-Mae burst through their bedroom door when Stevie left the house. "I told you to never hurt your sister!" "Mother!" Mackenzie screamed "Why is she your favorite you never punish her when she hurts me! She gets whatever she wants, nobody tells her no. But when it comes to me, my most known word from you is 'no' why must you hate me? I'm far from perfect but I am your daughter. You treat Stacia better then me!" "Mackenzie," her mother said trying to be calm "You and your sister are different people for a reason. The reason I cannot tell you, ever." "Why?" Mackenzie cried "Why do you hate me?" "Because," she said coldly "Because you are, you." She made Mackenzie go and clean the bathroom.
This is not the first time, and it may not be the last. Does Stevie know her mom does this to Mackenzie? Once again, I may not tell you. You have to read the whole story. Some times I may reveal some important information and I may not. That's the beauty of me knowing, and you wondering. So, what else would you like to know? Well, let's learn about their dad, Don.
"Don?" Hannah-Mae called quietly "Yes?" Don replied. "Is Mackenzie okay, or no?" Hannah-Mae asked with no interest. "She's fine," Don said sounding disappointed "How does she keep surviving?" he asked. "Thats what they told us when we let them do the operation to 'them'." She said quietly so Mackenzie wouldn't hear, but she was listening, listening closely "What were they talking about?" she thought "But they said it couldn't be that hard to do it if we do it the correct way, maybe we need to try something different." "No!" Don said raising his voice "Because you don't understand! If we succeed Stevie is going to become suspicious and she might find the truth about 'them'. She loves her sister, no matter how bad of a person she is."
This broke Mackenzie's heart, not only did her mom hate her, but so did her dad. And now her sister told her she hated her too. Nobody loved, nobody cared for her, not even her family. She grabbed a piece of paper it said
"Dear Stevie,
It's Mackenzie, I wrote this to you because you're the only person who has been there for me. I never meant to hurt you. But I must go now.
Forever your sister,
Mackenzie."
Then Mackenzie grabbed her money, some clothes, and her backpack and she was on her way. She didn't know where she was headed, but she wasn't staying here.
