After that Stevie pulled his body away. Trying to figure out how to get rid of his body without anyone finding it. She couldn’t figure out a place, but she had too. She had to do this, it was for Mackenzie after all. She pulled the body away and pulled it far. She pulled it through the woods which was a short cut to the next town over. She grabbed his wallet and cut up his identification. Then she pushed him into the lake. Then she took the shoes off, she walked a different way home. She ran to the dumpster and threw the shoes in there. “That’s weird…” She thought “There’s no blood.” But she just ran home. Got back into bed with her sister. And got rid of the evidence. She fell asleep like nothing happened.
When Stevie woke up Mackenzie was on her phone crying. “What’s wrong?” Stevie said sleepily. “Xavier’s mom,” She started crying harder “Told me Xavier is missing.” “No,” Stevie hugged her sister tightly “Don’t worry baby, they’ll find him.” She started tearing up. Were they fake tears? Yes, she didn’t care, he threatened to ruin her life. She felt no remorse. She only felt bad that she had to hurt her sister this way. But he would have made it worse than this.
Stevie held Mackenzie to not make her sister feel suspicious. It was still hard for Stevie to believe that she was not that sweet little innocent girl that everyone has always portrayed her as, she was rebellious and the only person who knew was her self. But even if she didn’t hold her like Mackenzie would ever believe Stevie was a bad girl. They would check his phone records and see that Stevie had called him last. She was going to say she called and asked if he still wanted to be with Mackenzie but he answered and she hung up. Then she had been right next to her sister in bed all night, and her parents were in the next room. Nobody could pin this on her.
Her mom and dad would do everything in their power to prove her innocent. Even though she knew she wasn’t but no one else knew she wasn’t or believed she wasn’t. She was always Ms. Goody Goody. Well if anyone found out, they’d end up like Xavier. That was a promise. She wasn’t letting anyone ruin her and her sister’s relationship, or she would have to get rid of them. Permanently.
