Not really. Let's just say he didn't really survive.

Does that make sense? No. But just keep reading and you'll understand.

Right as Thomas jumped, he smacked into a force field that had somehow appeared- smacked into it hard. So you can see why he wasn't really left in a very good shape. The good news: the monsters couldn't pass. The bad news: actually, they could.

Remember what Thomas said about force fields always having an exit? Well, apparently this force field was no exception. The monsters walked to the right a bit, and found an exit, in which case Thomas guessed he was pretty much toast.

But it can't just end like that, right? They couldn't possibly die so close from the exit? Well, there was, like, 90% chance it could, so Thomas had to hold on to that 10% chance of escape. Why couldn't they just run into the exit? Well, remember what he said about other people in the mirror. If it had happened to them, why not other people? Maybe by escaping, the dimension might stop transporting people into their world. Might.

Thomas snapped back to attention. Putting a stop to the bizarre mirror-traveling wouldn't mean anything if they were all dead.

Nick had an empty gun.

Ed had a bent sword.

Thomas had a dull knife.

Oh, great.

Together, they charged into hopeless battle.

Thomas ducked as a blade swung at him for the ninetieth time. It had been ten minutes since they had started fighting and they'd only cut down one monster. Realizing that, he understood they couldn't win at four against a hundred. They started to retreat. Seeing this, the monsters advanced and started charging victoriously.

Thomas realized this was the real end- there was nothing that could save him, apart from a magic monster-erasing shock wave coming from heaven.

Suddenly, a magic monster-erasing shock wave came from heaven.

Thomas just stood there, stunned, as the pure white shock wave appeared in the middle of the monsters and wiped all of them out.

Ed was on his right, two scars added to his collection after the fight with the before-they-were-alive-but-now-the're-dead-but-they-will-soon-reform-and-we-better-not-be-there-or-we'll-be-toast monsters.

Nick was to his left, his arms hanging limply at his sides. His gun was flattened and the front part was bent and torn from whacking at the monsters.

The shock wave stopped. Nothing else happened.

No explanations. No help. No clearance. No one cared.

Thomas, Ed and Nick ran into the exit and jumped in.
