Chapter 8- Lily Rose

"You excited?" Dad asks me.
"No.. but yes.. but- Oh Dad, I'm so nervous!" I cry on my father pathetically.

Ha, Cow. Your such a cry baby! Why aren't you happy? I thought this was your 'dream'. Peh! Dreams never come true. Those words echo in my head annoyingly as I hug Dad again. But they were right. I am a cry baby. And I am a cow. And I should be happy. But dreams ALWAYS come true. What I'm doing now is chasing my dream.

"Don't worry, babe. You'll do it!" Dad whispers.
"You sure?" I reply.
"Of course I'm sure."
"Thanks, Dad." I smile at him.

The sound of a squeaking wheels on a car rings around the room and I peep out the window. A bright yellow car with the words TAXI sits on the mud outside.

"I'll come in the taxi with you. Wave you of." Dad grins. I agree and grab my bag while Dad opens the door. We climb into the car and tell the mad looking taxi driver where we're going. The taxi driver didn't smile, he just looked at us then flipped his messy black hair. All of a sudden we stop and I swing the door open.

"Carefu-" Dad shrieks as I tumble out of the car. I meet the floor with a CRASH and jump to my feet.
"Hah. New loser round here, I'm guessing?" A voice growls.
"Is it that obvious?" I sigh, not even looking at the person.

"Come on, Daisy, we better get going." Dad grabs my arm and drags me away with my bags in his other hand. "People these days.." he mutters, "calling my baby a loser.. he's the loser!"
"Daaaad.." I say.

"Okay, your trains leaving in-" Dad checks his watch "- Five more minutes. So this is our goodbye t-" I jump onto my Dad enthusiastically, a tear rolling down my cheek.
"I don't want to leave you.." I whisper.
"Its ok, you'll be safe. See me at the holidays."
"Dad. You'll be all alone!"
"I don't mind. I have the neighbours as well!"
"Are you sure, daddy?"
"Yes. Don't worry about me."
"But-"
"Look, your train is about to leave. Goodbye!" Dad kisses me then hugs me tightly and I don't let go.

"G-goodbye Da-da-d!" I yell, waving at my Dad while more fat tears run down my face. I scramble onto the train and find a seat by the window. No body is seating next to me, or even near me, so I take out my scrap book from my backpack and begin working on a script.

Five minutes later I'm still writing my script.. alone. Just as Lydia is about to tell Jason she loves him, I hear the train door open and footsteps getting closer an closer. My heart thumps. Who was coming?

"Is this seat taken?" A sweet whisper echoes across the compartment. I look up to see a short, pretty girl looking at me. She has short blonde hair (slightly like mine) tied in to bunches and diamond blue eyes hidden behind big black glasses. Her outfit is smart and kind of looks like a school uniform. She's wearing a cream white blouse covered by a fluffy pink cardigan with a black skirt and black tights. Her shoes are probably the exact same as my school ones, black lace-ups. Hers are shiny and clean, mine are soggy and muddy.

"Erm- No. Its not." I gulp, staring at the girl.
"Awesome." she sits down next to me. There's a long awkward silence until I finally decide to start a conversation.
"So.. What's your name?" I ask.
"Just Lily.."she mutters so quietly I cant pick it up.
"Sorry.. What was that?"
"Lily." she mutters again, I still cant pick it up!
"Umm.." I glance at a magazine with Matilda on it that's in the girls hand. Lily Rose is written in curvy  handwriting on the front. "Lily. Nice name!"
"Thanks.." Lily smiles. "W-whats your name?"
"Its Daisy, Daisy Barns."
"Wow! That is such a cute name."
"Heh heh, thanks."
"No problem."
"So.. What's your favourite play?"
"Well, I've always had something for Matilda. I mean, Roald Dahl was my favourite author when I was young. What 'bout you?"
"Okay, don't laugh but Romeo & Juliet is incredible. Shakespears my thing!" Me and Lily laugh joyfully and carry on talking about acting.

She's my new BFF!

Alright, alright! I'm sorry for another REALLY short chapter but mother of Irene, peeps, LILY ROSE IS HERE WHOOP WHOOP! Lily is one of meh favourite characters in the book because she's the first gal Daisy met and she's such a loyal friend. She's basically with Daisy throughout the whole book and she's just amaze. Lily Rose is just a lovely girl altogether. Plus I heart Matilda!! Also, guys, I can't believe I'm saying this but at the moment this is being posted... 184 FUDGIN' READS! WHAT IN THE WORLD! Guys, only 3 chapters ago I was saying thank you for 100 reads and now nearly 200! In only three chapters. What on earth! Thanks so much for everything guys, I laaaav chu x <3
