"GOOD MORNING ROOM 101! TIME TO GET UP AND OUT!" The robotic voice circles around the room as Taryn, Meghan, Ava, Lily and I all awake.
"Why have they woken us up so early? It's a Saturdayyy!" Meghan groans as she slams her head back down on the pillow.
"Because it's Santa Swap day, Meghan, we need to get to the great hall for breakfast then go to our age room and hear who we are Santa Swapping with. Don't you ever read the school newsletter updates?" Ava explains as she pulls the duvet of her nicely tanned skin and slips out of the bad.
"Ooh! Santa swap? That sounds fun!" Taryn smiles, sitting up and grinning at me.
"I wouldn't mind a Santa Swap, just as long as I don't get paired with a boy!" Everybody in the room except Ava stuck their tongue out and giggle as we all scramble out of our beds, Meghan being the last. We all through on our outfits, Lily is wearing her MLP Christmas sweater and has cat leggings, Taryn has a wooly jumper that says Tar-Tar on the front (I think her grandma knitted that) and a black leather skirt with wooly tights underneath, Meghan throughs on a wooly jumper too with a reindeer sticking it's tongue out and puts on some black leggings, Ava puts on a mint green zip up with her ripped knee black jeans and me.. I dunno what to wear. I end up going with a nice sweater that has a Santa on it and a light up Santa nose, denim jeans and some ugg boots. I love this outfit because it's so easy and comfy, and definitely keeps me warm. As the other girls unlock the door, I open the curtains and peer outside. Instead of seeing the normal little houses and Big Ben and the London eye, I see a complete winter wonderland. There's snow scattered everywhere, children playing outside, the Ferris wheel is going round and round and most exciting of all, there's a Santa with his elfs in the middle. He has a little girl with glossy brown hair sitting on his knee and a proud father beside him. It reminds me of the time Dad saved up enough money to take me to the mall and see Santa, I asked him for a barbie doll and lucky enough, I got one that year. It was my favourite you for years onwards, that Malibu beach barbie, and I still have it on a shelf in my room back home. After taking in the amazing sight in front if me, I call over the girls.
"GUYSS! ITS SNOWING!!" I yell at the top of my voice, the first thing I hear is Meghan going "whaaat?" Then footsteps coming my way.
"It's snowing?" Lily asks.
"ITS SNOWINGGGG YASSSSSS!" Meghan yells.
"WHOOP WHOOP SNOW SNOW!" Taryn chants.
"Splendid." Ava adds. I don't really know what to think, I love snow too but I'm not crazy about it. I simply say, "YES! I love snow!" And the other girls grin at me. After we all admire the snow, we turn to the door and head to the hall for breakfast. Usually, we would have food in the room but as it gets closer to Christmas we have breakfast in the hall on weekends. We all enter the hall through the polished wooden archway and sit down on one of the benches. Meghan sits with her her friends, Ava sits with her friends and boyfriend and me, Lily and Taryn all find our own table. Out if nowhere, another group of girls bustle into the hall and divide into their seats, one turns to our table. Beside me, I hear a scraping and scratching as another girl sits down. I look up, to see Scarlett, the pink haired girl, smiling at me. I have the urge to sit up and move, but I don't want to leave Taryn and Lily and I'm curious why she would sit next to me.
"What are you doing here?" I ask, bitterly.
"Daisy!" She grabs my hand and squeezes it, "I'm so sorry about what I did and now I believe you! I've been watching you in class and have seen how talented you are!"
I hesitate for a minute before whispering, "thanks?" Do I trust her? Shall I believe her? Is she really telling the truth? I look back at that warm and friendly smile on her face and I was actually persuaded she was telling the truth.
"No problem, Daisy!" She beamed at me. I smiled back. It was nice to think I had a friend outside my room mates.
"Taryn, Lily!" I called. The two girls looked over at me.
"Meet my friend here." I said, "her name is Scarlett." Taryn whispered something to Lily and she giggled, then turned back to me.
"Hello." Taryn attempted to smile but there was something up with her.
"Hi." Lily whispers, looking down at her feet as she usually does when she meets someone new.
"Hey there, guys!" Scarlett beams brightly at the other girls and they try to smile back.
"SILENCE IN THE HALL!"**
Sunday morning, pretty much the same as yesterday. I slip out from under my covers and pull back the covers, only to reveal the same winter wonderland as yesterday.
"Whoop whoop, it's snowingggg again!" Meghan says as she exits the bathroom, her toothbrush still in her mouth. But I have other things on my apart from snow. And I bet Taryn does too.Taryn grins at me on the way down to breakfast and I grin back, knowing exactly what she was thinking.
After lunch, she grins at me again and I grin back, knowing exactly what she was thinking.
At the end of classes, she grins at me again and I grin back, knowing exactly what she was thinking.
And as we leave dinner, she grins at me again and I grin back, knowing exactly what she was thinking. But I don't go back to the dorm at the end of dinner. I scurry past the 16 year olds into the dance club room were Taryn is already staring there, holding at least 6 full bags. You want to know what's in them? Shampoo. Yes, shampoo. You heard me right. You'll see why. Mwaahhahahahahahahhahahahahaha!
"Are you ready, Days?" Taryn asks.
"Ready as I'll ever be, Tar." I reassure her.
And the our plan gets into action, we head over to the girls showers were we know Zara is. As we move across the corridors, the wood creaks. Everybody is in bed now and it's peaceful in the castle. Eventually, we make it to the showers and I can hear two girls talking loudly.
"Beathanyyyy! I wanted a strawberry shampoo not coconut!" One of the girls wine.
"That's Zara." Taryn scowls, "Anyway, she'll be getting an egg shampoo in a minute!"
"Ha ha ha!" I laugh.
"I'm sorry, Zar." Bethany mutters.
"What have I told you about calling me Zar, Bethany?" Zara growls.
Me and Taryn tip-toe towards the door that leads into the girl bathroom and enter.
"Okay, Taryn, so when Zara and Bethany have their heads turned we need to rush into the other shower next to the one Zara is running. I'll pass you the shampoo, Mkay?" I explain to Taryn.
"Got it." Taryn gives me a thumbs up. After five minutes or so, Taryn winks at me (meaning the coast is clear) we open the door in the bathroom that leads to the showers and tip-toe inside. Quietly, we enter the shower next to the one Zara is running but my fingers slip and the door bangs loudly.
"Did you hear that?" Bethany says to Zara, confused.
"Did I hear what? The shower running? Of course I did, Bethany, I'm not deaf! Who do you think I am? Some kind of idiot like Taryn Lee?" There was silence. "Do you?"
"No." Bethany whispers.
"DO you?" Zara raises her voice slightly.
"no." Bethany squeaks.
"DO YOU?" Zara yells.
"NO!" Bethany shouts to, and then looks at Zara as though she's looking at some kind of murderer.
"Good." Zara says normally and goes back to looking at the other shampoos.
Me and Taryn begin to get all the egg shampoo out of the bags and line them up. After Zara tells Bethany she's getting into the shower, I hand Taryn the first shampoo and she steps up onto the pile of pillows I bar and with me. We hear Zara pull back the shower curtain and step in, while Bethany sobs and sniffs in the corner. After 2 to 3 minutes, We can hear the bubbles of shampoo in Zara's hair and her soft singing. I nod at Taryn to tell her to start squeezing the shampoo and she doesn't hesitate. I keep passing her bottles as she emptying them over Zara.
"Bethanyyyy! Bethanyyyy! Bethany the shampoo won't come out! BETHANYYY! Ewww is that egg? Bethany why is my shampoo egg and why is it coming out? AHHH!" Zara screams.Best. Prank. Ever.
