i think we crave warmth and that's why so many people fear being alone. the feeling you get when you're laying on someone's chest and can hear their heart beating fast at first, but then slows down and you smile, because you know that they're no longer nervous around you. I think that us as humans all crave a different type of love, but at the end of the day all we want is the warmth of somebody's presence. not the literal warmth, not the warmth between to people when they hug or the tingle in their lips when they kiss. i mean the warmth you feel in your body as someone tells you their favorite book and why it's their favorite. or their safe place. or why their parents got into a divorce when they were 9. or how they feel about you. we like the warmth, we like it when people open up to us and let us in. but what nobody realizes is some people are cold and have not found the warmth within them. help them. help them find that warmth if it kills you. because no one else will.
