It was Halloween, Lydia's favorite holiday. She had dragged her friends out to a party when they refused to go trick or treating with her. Allison, Scott, Kira, Aiden and Ethan were all their, jumping to music. With her obsession with Batman, she had dressed as Harley Quinn. Scott as Superman, Allison as a witch, Isaac as a Mexican wrestler, Ethan as Darth Vader and Aiden as Batman. Lydia had rolled her eyes and told Aiden that Harley goes with the joker, shaking her head at his lame attempt to get back together.
When 'Control' by Halsey came on, Allison pulled her onto the dance floor demanding they dance. Dance they did, like maniacs too, singing the lyrics at the top of their lungs. Ethan called them freaks and they had flipped him off, he had stuck out his tongue at them.
When the song ended, so did the party. Scott claimed they should go home, carrying an Isaac that was still mumbling the song. "I sat alone in bed till the morning I'm crying they're coming for me." He murmurs. Allison couldn't help herself and mumbled back. "And I tried to hold these secrets inside me. My minds like a deadly disease."
Ethan and Scott rolled their eyes. No one bothered to look for Aiden, they were all 80 percent sure he's in some closet somewhere with a random blonde girl. "I'm bigger than my body, I'm colder than this home. I'm meaner than my demons. I'm bigger than these bones." Isaac mumbles, shifting in Scott's arms. Just before they could leave a guy came, singing along with them.
"And all the kids cried out please stop your scaring me. I can't help this awful energy. God damn right you should be scared of me, who is in control?"
The boy had his hair dyed green and slicked back. White makeup was all over his face and a sharp purple suit clung to his body. She figured out the joker costume in seconds, it was a sight to see. "How you doin' Puddin'?" None of my friends got what I was saying. They stared at me with 'you can't just call a person puddin' faces. The boy caught on, grinned from ear to ear and asked me on a date.
