Nothing was more pleasant to wake up to then a mild hangover. The laced wine did a number on me. In the morning Reid had to shake me to wake me up.
"We need to go." He seemed to be fine, but then again he had experience with black lime. I had barely any. Maybe a few sips at a party but not glasses of wine.
After we made love, we lay in bed telling each other funny stories. I loved hearing Reid's childhood stories, especially the ones that happened before his mother's death. Reid was always funny to me but he was especially making me laugh last night. I think the wine certainly helped. Shortly after we both fell asleep when the bottle was emptied .
Normally I had issues waking up in the morning but today I was glued to my bed. Reid tried to tickle me awake but it didn't help. I had a massive headache and my stomach was in knots.
Reid took one look at me and said "hangover."
I didn't know what that was, but I never wanted to feel this way again.
Reid left the room and came back in with food and water. Food was the last thing I wanted."Cara here try this. It'll help the hangover. It's what wolves eat to cure a black lime hangover."
When he came closer I examined it. It was a piece of bread with a gross creamy thing on top. I shook my head no. "Reid I won't do it. Go away."
"You are meeting your parents today. Either wake up and suffer through the hangover for the next few hours on a plane, or eat this material."
Material! "You don't even know what it's called! What's it made of?" I refused to consume foreign material into my body.
"If I tell you, you most certainly won't eat it." I cringed and took a deep breath. He brought it closer and I tried to swat it away. "I didn't brush my teeth yet, I can't eat it."
Reid growled out in frustration. He rolled his eyes at me in a way that only people in relationships do when they have a stubborn partner. "Then get up." When I still shook my head no, he stormed out of the room. He came back with a tooth paste a tooth brush and a cup.
"Open." I listened to him and opened my mouth as he brushed my teeth. And one point I winced.
"Softer brushing." I chastised his speed and hastiness. He glared at me and continued but slower. I spit into the cup.
He gave me the bread with the cheese looking substance and I took a small nibble. It tasted so bad I wanted to spit it out. It tasted like very moldy cheese. I took one more bite then I refused. "No Reid I can't."
"You have to. Your dad is coming over soon, he can't see you like this babe."
I pinched my nose and swallowed the rest down. Immediately I felt better.
Reid grinned. "You know, you didn't have to eat it all, one bite would have fixed you."
"Then why did you make me eat the whole thing?" I sat up.
"Because you made me brush your teeth. Now get up." He kissed my cheek.
"You jerk."I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him into bed. We started wrestling. I got the upper hand over him and pinned his arms over his head. I gave him a wet kiss and he fought me off. "Oh god it is terrible." He wiped his mouth with hours arm sleeve. Karma, now he got a taste of the paste he forced me to eat. I tried to kiss him again but he wasn't having it.
