*Cara's Pov*

I walked quickly to Reid's room from my own. It took everything in my power not to break out into a sprint. Actually, I was lying, I was running to his room as fast as my legs could take me. All the guards had left so I flung open his door. He was staring at the wall in his room and he turned to stare at me. His mouth dropped open and he rushed to greet me. There was genuine shock and excitement in his voice.

"Baby." He clutched my face and kissed me. "Where's your....where's Petor." He couldn't bring himself to say the word  husband.

"He left. On a plane back to his home."

"And you're still here." Reid's voice became hopeful and his mannerisms changed.

"Yes." I answered.

"Why?" He was nearly bouncing with nervous energy.

"There's a plane waiting for me." It wasn't right but I wanted to mess with him a little bit.

The light in his eyes had gone out, like air from a balloon. His voice, deflated, betrayed the hurt and disappointment that he could no longer hide."Oh so you've come to say your final goodbyes." He turned away.

I pulled him back to face me.

"Let me rephrase that. There's a plane waiting for us. There is no more wedding. Petor decided he wouldn't marry me. He broke the contract not me so-"

Reid immediately started kissing me. He was laughing and his voice cracked with emotion. "We can finally be together? Is that what you are telling me? No strings attached?"

"No strings attached. Just you and me baby." We hugged for a long time before he pulled away abruptly. He became very serious.

"Don't lie to me." His tone left no room for anything but the absolute truth."Cara I won't take it if this is another lie. Are you coming back to California with me. To be MY wife."

"I'd prefer not to get married right this second but...." Reid had no clue what had happened to me a few hours ago."But I am not lying. There's a plane leaving for us in less than an hour, let's get our stuff and let's get out of here now."

I tried to leave but he held on to me. "Where are you going?"

"To get my stuff." I said slowly.

He shook his head."You are not leaving my sight for a second, until we get back to America. I'm already packed Cara. Let's get your stuff together and get on that plane.

We got my stuff from my room. I had needed only a few things that could easily fit into Reid's suitcase. Next Smith took us to the plane. Ashley and Lisa were on the plane as well.

I turned to Smith, "wait before we leave, can you get Nathalia. Please." I didn't want to leave her behind. If she'd be willing to go to America then I would take her in like a sister. She'd join the pack and go to school.

Nathalia was brought to the plane and she nearly fainted from excitement. "Of course I'll come to America with you." She gave me a long hug. She went to sit next to Ashley and Lisa while I gave Smith a hug goodbye.

"Thanks Smith. Thanks for everything." He waved one final time and I swore I saw tears come to his eyes. Then he was gone. I went to find a seat back next to my mate while the plane started takeoff.
