"No matter what happens today, our priority is to get Eos back right?" Theia asked, helping Selene tie up her hair. She had come back from Olympus early in the morning and had trained with me and Selene until I felt like I would drop dead. Luke and Hyperion had gone to another part of the forest to train and had still not returned.
"I can't believe those bastards actually changed location like this." Selene grumbled; before noon, a hunter had come and for the first time, he didn't try to attack us. Instead, he handed a letter to Selene and ran off; they'd changed the location from the cabin to deep inside the forest and they wanted us to arrive before 5pm.
"They must think that we're planning something, since we were so specific about the location and all. But this just makes it easier for me to hide the green gem inside the forest, idiots." I said, securing my hair back with a pin. Theia had suggested that we dressed for emergencies, in case a full on fight happened.
"No dresses Selene." Theia said as Selene tried to take a dress from her wardrobe.
"I don't own trousers though!" Selene protested and I grinned, leaving her room and selecting a few of my jeans and going back to her room.
"Choose one." I said, smiling in satisfaction as she scrunched up her face.
"This is so not my style." She complained, picking a light wash blue jeans.
"It's been so long since I've dressed like Bianca Goodwin." I muttered, picking out ripped skinny jeans, black boots and a black baggy top.
"No need to do your makeup Selene, we're going to fight hunters, not go on a date with them." Theia scolded and Selene sighed, putting down her makeup bag.
"Look – we don't even know how today will go, today might be our last day on earth for all we know it so I'm gonna look my best!" Selene cried and Theia rolled her eyes.
"I swear if I didn't give birth to you; anyway, I'll go see if Helios and Hyperion are back, we'll need to get moving in an hour or so." Theia said, leaving the room and Selene stuck out her tongue behind her.
"How do we even know where to go?" I asked.
"You can sense the hunters can't you? Come help me put these trousers on please." Selene said.
"Have you seriously never worn jeans before or something?" I asked her, helping her to put them on.
"Never, not my style Bianca – I'm a goddess, not a savage." She stated and I laughed, leaving her to do her makeup.
"Speaking of which, when I still, you know, went to school and everything, I read that gods and goddesses are all practically related – like there's some incest type of things." I said and she sighed.
"Oh humans and their stupid textbooks – what shall we do with them? I bet you're referring to the fact that Hyperion and Theia are supposedly meant to be brother and sister right?" she asked and I nodded; I was definitely referring to the fact that I'd read that Hyperion's sister was Theia. Selene laughed.
"Thought so – don't worry Bianca, my father and mother aren't brother and sister; yes they both derive from Gaia, but she didn't actually birth them like your books make you to believe, she created them." Selene explained.
"Oh thank the gods, that bothered me for a while." I confessed.
"Why? Because you were afraid that you and Helios would be related by blood and therefore unable to marry him?" Selene joked and I laughed, taking my makeup bag as well. She was right in a way, but I wasn't about to admit it.
