"Will you please step away from the dirt and come over here?!" A voice shouted and I looked up, preparing to meet darkness but I saw light instead; the sun was shining extra hard and I looked down to see that I was wearing a white dress with a red layer of cloth covering it; there was ruffles all around the bottom and the sleeves and I frowned, glancing at the person the voice came from. She was petite and small and looked to be younger than me, with a halo of blond hair framing around her face – her bright blue eyes shone as she offered me a smile and I stepped back slightly.

"Cassandra, do not move towards the dirt, you will ruin your dress!" she shouted, running to me but stopping once she almost reached the dirt I was standing in. I frowned once more, glancing around me to see that I was definitely no longer in Hawaii; in fact I seemed to have jumped directly into a perfect picturesque vision of an old Victorian town.

"What is going on? Who are you?" I asked; even my way of speaking had changed; the girl laughed, reaching forward and dragging me on to the pavement.

"I told you to stop walking on dirt, it is certainly messing with your head you silly girl; I am Ruth." She answered.

"Ruth?" I questioned and she sighed, pouting slightly.

"When will George arrive? I am tired of waiting here like a commoner, mother says not to stand out in the sun no longer than thirty minutes and I am certain I have exceeded that time." she complained.

"Who is George?" I asked and she groaned.

"We must quickly find you somewhere to rest; why are you asking such questions? How do you not know who George is?" she asked.

"What is wrong with Cassandra now?" a voice that definitely belonged to Luke said and I looked up, staring right into Luke's gorgeous golden eyes.

"Luke?" I asked and he turned to the girl.

"Cassandra seems to have forgotten you and I; I believe she has stood out in the sun for far too long and therefore must be having a spell. We must hurry and find her a fine tree to rest under." Ruth explained and I stepped away from the both of them.

"Luke, what is going on?" I asked and he frowned.

"I am George, George Alcorn." He stated.

"Fire! Fire!"

My head immediately turned to the person screaming and I gasped to see a house burning down in front of me – picking up the stupid dress I was wearing, I ran straight for the fire, pushing through the crowd of people to see a child was at the top of the house, shouting for help.

"Cassandra, you must get away from there, it is far too dangerous." Luke said and I turned to him.

"Far too dangerous? Luke, you can save him – use your power." I demanded, glad that my normal dialect seem to be returning and he frowned.

"I do not know what you mean, please let us leave – we have no business here." He answered.

"No business? There is a child about to burn to death and he is crying for help, so I will save him, whether you help me or not." I decided.

"It is not your responsibility Cassandra." He argued.

"Yes it is." I replied.

"And why is it your responsibility?" he asked and I smiled, turning back to the burning building.

"Because I am the goddess of the-"

I gasped, my body tingling and even through the hotness that was surrounding me, I could feel the hairs on my arms rise and I shook my head, concentrating on the situation. The earth was still in darkness and I was still in the midst of the lava, trying to stop it from running down the volcano.
