The rays of the blazing sun greeted my face as I woke up, I covered my eyes until it get used to the light and turned off the alarm clock ringing in my bedside table. I yawned and covered my mouth, I can hear the birds happily chirping like they are greeting one another. That alone irritated me, I frowned and left my bed. I went near the windows and pulled the curtains to cover my room and avoid seeing the squirrels right in front of my room. I hate seeing them like that. It makes me feel that they are happy every freakin' morning.
"Annoying..." I muttered and went in front of my body sized mirror. I saw the reflection of a girl, she was a petite teenager that has a brownish shoulder-length hair, her eyes were the color of an emerald, the very color that made her life from bad to worse. She wore a simple pajamas that has a design of a stripes(blue and white).
Nothing changed, but everything will. With that thought in my mind, I picked up the clothes I am going to wear and my bath robe and then went to the bathroom, to take a bath and ready myself for school. I changed my clothes to my uniform which is composed of a long-sleeved polo t-shirt that has a small pocket on the left side with the school patch, a checkered skirt, long socks and a black shoes. I picked up my necktie and tied it neatly to my neck.
I combed my hair with my brush and braided it to my right. Without looking at the mirror to check my appearance, I went to get my things for school that were in my desk after that I went outside of my room and just as I was ready to go she appeared.
"Hey.." She awkwardly greeted. I returned the greeting with a 'good morning' and a nod. "Is there anything you need from me?" I did not really care if it came out rudely because in the first place I do not meant it to be rude and second, I don't really care.
"Ah, no!" She shook her head, "I just want to ask if things are alright with you?"
Oh. I didn't respond and just stared at her, she noticed my silence and laughed nervously and so I decided to answer her. "Yes, all things are fine..."
But really, I was confused with her question. Not the fact that she asked me but as to what is she referring to. Did she mean to ask whether I failed or mess up? Or did she mean to ask whether I am alright? No matter, I don't care either way. All things are good at my end.
"Oh, I see..." She then returned to being awkward.
"Is there anything else? I really need to go now, Sophie and Khaile are waiting for me." I really want to leave now honestly.
"No, you may go but aren't you going to eat breakfast? With us?" She asked me hopefully, she clutched at the rim of her dress which I watched closely but she quickly released it when she noticed I was staring at it.
I just shook my head, "Unfortunately, I have something to do in the Student Council... I will eat breakfast at the cafeteria later. With Sophie and Khaile if they didn't eat either."
"I see... I'm sorry for holding you back." She smiled, I can feel that it is forced. "Take care..." She waved with her right hand.
I just nodded and proceeded to go down just as I am in the last step of the stairs, I heard a door opened.
"Good morning, mom!"
"Good morning!" I can hear her joyous greeting and so I took a peek and saw them laughing at something. When they were about to go down, I turned around and continued walking like nothing just took place.
"I am really excited about today! This is going to be a great day!"
"I know you are. You will do all fine so do your best!" She encouraged.
"Mom, what should I do? I got nervous from hearing you say that!" I heard a laugh followed.
"You have nothing to worry about! It is you so all things are going to be fine. Now let's go to the dining room to fill you up with energy!"
