Searing heat, rivers of flowing lava, pools of boiling water, the feel of Death with every step anyone dares to take. Rotting corpses lining the roads and cities, skeletons weaved into the ground after decades of never being touched because the people never care to bury their dead because more lie dead everyday but it doesn't stop families from mourning, many plant Yggdrasil the flower of life in the Underworld others they give a prayer of hope. Mortals tell frightful stories to their children, making them believe it is a place of damnation and it is where they will be sent if they do terrible things. Truly the people are just getting by like anyone else but instead they are demons and many look to their ruler for his unfaltering strength. In war he is known to be merciless, ruthless, and some even say heartless, however, when he isn't in battle he is known as King, father, and husband. King Kieran has ruled the Underworld for over three thousand years and in that time he has made many enemies but also many friends, his greatest friend is the goddess of death Avengdra. Avengdra and Kieran have known each other since they were children and have always been the greatest of friends, sadly all things must end.

Avenia the wife of Hades has the gift of fore site, but with this gift her life is slowly taken away by each vision, luckily for her life hasn't been to eventful and she has lived for over two thousand years and has given birth to a son and soon another child. Avenia also has the blood of the race of Dragonlords and she is last, her son Dominic wasn't passed this gift she prays her child within her carries the gene. Avenia now waits for Kieran to return from his gathering with Avengdra she worries for him her most recent vision was very dark and in the end Kieran was on his knees head hanging in defeat.

Kieran looked at Avengdra as he clutched his stomach in laughter they were telling stories of old times, Kieran felt at ease with his old friend, however, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off and it bothered him to no end.

" Kieran, I have been meaning to ask how is Avenia and Dominic?" Avengdra said bringing him out of his laughing but still smiling by the mention of his family. " They are doing fine, Avenia should be having the baby in a months time and Dominic is still showing no sign of magical abilities which is honestly a blessing having my magic along with Avenia's i can't imagine it it would great control to handle all that magic." Kieran replies with a smile and a stern look in his eyes once he speaks of Dominic. Avengdra nods for a reply and gets up to look over the books Kieran holds in his study she pulls out a book and Kieran could be no less surprised. She holds The Angelic Tome of Prophecy, is a ever changing book that holds the prophecy made by the gods but its contents cannot be shown to lesser gods like Avengdra and Kieran.

" Avengdra you know you can't see what's inside, why bother?" Kieran asks as he rises up from his chair, Avengdra turns to Kieran and smiles. " To see if the gods have changed their rules, honestly we should be able to look and see it's contents. Together we fought against the Archangel Azrael and lived! I think we have earned our place among those who can read this book." Avengdra said angrily but also in defeat knowing they would never change their stubborn minds. " Maybe one day my friend, now I grant you a farewell I would like to go see my wife." Kieran said placing a hand on her shoulder as comfort and goodbye.

Avengdra smiled at her friend and grasped onto the dagger she held hidden beneath her cloak trying to decide whether to change everything now or wait longer but once the word longer went through her mind she saw her suffering and Kieran's happiness. She quickly turned towards Kieran dagger still in hand grabbing his shoulder to stop him in his tracks she pushed the dagger through his skin digging into his flesh letting the poison swarm his blood stream that would soon paralyze his entire body. The look of confusion and betrayal that he held in his eyes pulled at Avengdra's heart but she couldn't let these feelings control her she would have Kieran's newborn child give her exactly what she wanted most and she would wait as long as she had to, she was immortal she had nothing but time on her hands. She slowly got down on her knees and whispered in Kieran's ear the words that would haunt him for the rest of his days, " the one she shall carry shall bring blight to the world or life, the one she shall carry shall be her destruction but also her salvation." With that said she vanished to put in place a plan already written by the gods. Kieran knew exactly who Avengdra spoke of and he refused to let Avengdra touch his wife, but no matter how hard he tried to move or scream he could not everything in his body was completely useless to him until the poison decided wear off and Avengdra was done with her business.
