The underworld is under attack by the Heavenly Ones, and their motive is clear; wipe us out. Kieran isn't here so there's no one to protect us not that he would, he apparently had more important things to do. The soldiers have done what they can and now they're dead rotting along the corpses of the people, everyone who made it is now seeking refuge in the castle. Kieran's son Dominick, is a spineless worm he stays locked in his room staying apart from the world. How he just stand by and watch makes me want to kill him. Now it's my job to try and keep this place in one piece.
Huh... I can see it now, my own body lying next to my soldiers rotting away letting the birds feast on my flesh, at least that has been one of my dreams. Ever since I was a child I have been able to see the future, control magic, and speak in dragon tongue, these gifts however have only brought me nothing but trouble. When my mother died so long ago when the Heavenly Ones first tried to attack. They were looking for something and it was me. They slaughtered my mother and father to get to me. As their blood spilled on the floor and their blood dripping off of my face. I cried and cried begging for them to come back and protect me, but of course they didn't and the leader of the Heavenly Ones Azrael picked me up and started to take me away. Kieran then intervened for he would not let anyone from the underworld be taken hostage no matter the reason and he banished Azrael from the underworld. Hades then took pity upon me for some reason and took me under his protection and he raised me from then on. I was only six or seven when mother died and I can't even remember her face, the sound of her voice, nothing.
My servant Gwen she has been my friend for many years she even knew me before my mother died. I can't remember how long it took Gwen to make me smile again, she saved me and I couldn't be more thankful for her. Many have died and even she has suffered just like everybody else here in the castle. Gwen lost more than family and friends she lost hope, I don't blame her my hope is about to fly away into chaos.
Gwen keeps pacing around my room I think she is trying to find away out of the castle without being killed. Which is basically a fool's errand now, yesterday I opened my window and an arrow was shot through the opening. So much for fresh air. Even if there was a way out Kieran has sealed it with great magic, I could never break it.
" Gwen what in the hell are you doing... you're driving me insane with your pacing." I yelled at her, shortly after she immediately stopped in her tracks nearly tripping over herself in the process. She gave me a blank look for about two minutes just staring at me, I of course stared back placing my fist under my chin just waiting for anything to be said, finally she spoke up. " Sorry I pace when I'm thinking" then she continued to pace ( sorry I have to kill her I promise you it will be a slow and painful death.) I stand up and get in her way and she falls to the ground " please stop pacing or will have to kill you... please and thank you." I said making the room go dark to make my emotions to her known to hopefully get the point through her head. When I sat back down a vision comes over me...
It looks like I'm in a forest and there are four other figures following me, all I can see is their aura. Two are human, one is a human mage and the other is part human but the other half I have never seen before it was almost angelic. The five of us were laughing and then we stop, for there lies a giant tower in middle of a paralysis ocean of sand surrounding it. Then my vision ends and my eyes can the present again.
I find myself lying on the floor, Gwen rushing back and forth with bloody rags. When she sees my eyes open she lets out a sigh of relief and starts talking to me. " What did you see, Haven?" I explained it to her and she nodded for a response. She handed me a rag so that I can wipe the blood off my face. " Gwen how long did this one last?" I asked of her for my visions have been occurring more often since the King has left.
" Just a hour or two... but your eyes started to bleed this time. I didn't know what to do so I asked Dominick for help." She nervously spoke to me. At first I wanted to rip her head off and throw it out my window so that the buzzers may fly off with her head and feed it to their children and grandchildren and they could shit it out in the ocean, but I didn't because Gwen would only do something that stupid when she's worried about someone. Plus Dominic is a healer I see why she sought his help.
