Part 5: GGO and BOB4 training

Kazuto's POV
I woke up with my arm around a familiar figure. I opened my eyes to see Shino curled up next to me. I decided to getup and make us breakfast since she made it yesterday. I used my good foot for assistance to get my crutches. I walk in the kitchen and made us both omelettes. I put the plates down and went to the room where she was still sleeping and decided to wake her up.
"Wake up sleepyhead." I told her in a soft voice. I decided to do what I used to do with Suguha to wake her up. I started to pull her cheek only to have it immediately slapped away. "Well looks like someone's finally awake." "Shut up. I had to wake you yesterday because you fell into a deep sleep." "Hehe yeah. Well that dream kept me from waking up and I don't why but it isn't something I feel that you would handle." I told as we making our way to the table. "Well you'll never know unless you tell me. And plus since I know that it kept you from waking up until you hit that floor, I feel like I need to know." She said so serious. "Well ok but you won't like it." I took in a deep breath preparing for what I was about to say.
"I was back in SAO, I was on the 74th floor fighting the floor boss with Klein and his guild Fuurikazann, and Asuna. I had to fight it solo because no one else had a high enough level to do so. I had my duel blades skill and was finishing up the 50-hit combo once known as Starburst Stream. What originally happened was that the boss died and was left with a arm hair of health left and I blacked out for a couple of seconds. But this time when I hit the ground the rest of my health had disappeared and I died." I looked up at her and she had a shocked look on her face. Then it went to one of relief. "Well that didn't happen right? Because if it did, everyone would probably still be in SAO and I would be dead because of what happened in the BOB." She said as if it were trying to help me feel a little better. "And plus, I wouldn't have you here with me right now." She whispered. I still have good hearing even though my ears were ringing because of what happened. "That's true. And I wouldn't have had the best time of my life at all with you." I said and smiled. I moved closer to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "Well we will need to log-in soon if we want to start training." She reminded me as I started to get up and wash the plates that we had just used. "Okay well let's go and I had to get a new amusphere because my nervegear stopped working. My guess is because of how damaged it has been over the past 3 years." We started to lay down and put our amusphere's on. "Link START!!" And with that we had logged into GGO.
I looked at my character. I had to make changes to it like the change in gender and eye color to my onyx eyes and made my hair shorter. I looked just like my SAO and ALO character with the way the body looked and the way the clothing was. I looked to my right to see the ice blue haired sniper Sinon. "Well well well! Look who a character change!" She said to me. "Yeah yeah. I got it so I wouldn't look like a girl. And I wanted to looked like my SAO avatar once again. Also, it feels so good not walking in crutches again." I said in a calm voice. "Ok. Well the next BOB is in a month and I heard it was going to be teams of 5. So I think we should get Liz, Klein, and Silica to join. So what do you say, partner?" "I'm in." I answered. "I'll let them know to join us and I already got them game cartridges so they wouldn't have to go and buy them. I just hope they got lucky with their avatars than I did." I said. I started to log out to tell the three to let them know to meet us.
I called Rika first. "Rika speaking, who is it?" "Rika are you there? It's me, Kazuto." "Oh hey Kazuto! What do you need?" "Well I was wondering if you would like to join me and Sinon and train for the next BOB in GGO." I explained hoping that she'd accept. "Sure, I would love to! Just let me finish up some things and I'll message you when I'm logged in." She said and hung up. Great now all I need is Ryōutaro(Klein) and Keiko(Silica). "Alright and what does your avatar look like. I want to know so Sinon and I won't be walking around the whole map trying to find you." "Looks just like my ALO avatar. See you Kaz!" "Bye." I said hanging up. I hate that nickname. (A/N: Alright you know what fuck it! I'm not writing more words for him to talk With Klein and Silica. So I'll just skiiiiiip NOW!!)
Time skip: after the other phone calls

I started to lay back down on the bed next to Shino and put my Amusphere on. I held her hand and logged back in to GGO. "Took you long enough. I was about to head out and go to the bar." She said jokingly. "Haha, no you weren't." "Caught me red-handed. So what'd they say?" "They said yes and that their characters look just like their ALO avatars." "Ok!" She said smiling. Right then I got a message from a certain pink haired person telling me that she was at the town square. "Alright looks like Liz is on so let's go and find her." I said walking in the direction where Liz was waiting. "Race ya!" The sniper said smiling and already running. "I'll get you!" I yelled running after her.
We were racing towards the town square. It was a 5-mile run and luckily, thanks to my speed stats, I was winning until I saw a familiar chestnut haired girl. I tripped in my steps realizing who it was. "Asuna." I said to myself. "Come on or I'll wi-!" She stopped talking when she saw who I was looking at. "Kirito-kun!" Asuna said running towards me. "Shit." I said in a low voice while looking for some roofs to jump on and Windows to climb through. I found a roof where I could reach and started to run towards it. I jumped onto it with Sinon behind me knowing why I was running away. I spotted a window and dove right through it. But as I looked back I see Asuna tailing Sinon as if she was trying to kill her. "RUN SINON!" I yelled, sounding like how I did when I saved her from Shinkawa. She jumped in but her leg was caught by the window seal and was forced to be cut off. I picked her up and carried her bridal-style to the roof. Not knowing what else to do, I jumped off and found Liz on my way down. "Follow me Liz!" "Why?" "Just don't ask and run!" I yelled. She looked behind me and figured out why I was running. "Oh shit!" She yelled. We started to run out of the town and I put Sinon down so she could be what her nickname is. The Iced Cold Sniper. She took a deep breath and aimed at Asuna. She fired and we see Asuna's body blow into red particles letting her know that she was killed. I sighed in relief. "Good shot Sinon." Liz and I said in unison. "Well we should leave before she respawns and find Silica and Klein." She said. "No need!" A familiar voice said behind us. "Klein, Silica!" We all said. "Yep and we saw that little chase with Asuna. I was about to spray her with bullets but then the best sniper we know got her first." He said. "Well let's start training. Since it will be in teams the training sessions are going to be different this year. We will be training against different groups. Almost like team battles except once you die, you wait in the death penalty area until either your group is wiped out or until your group wins." Sinon said. "Alright. So who are we going up against first?" I said giving my signature grin. "A team called The Brotherhood." She answered. "And from the looks of it, the battle is starting now." She said as we were being teleported away.
We were in the waiting area watching the clock click down and studying our opponents. "Hey I just noticed. We haven't made a team name." I said. "How about The players?" Klein suggested. We all shook our head in disagreement with Klein giving a face of sadness. "I know how about Infinity Moment?" (I know, real clever right?😅) Silica asked. "Yeah! I think that's a great name!" We all said agreeing to the little loli. Just as we made up our name, we were teleported to a desert area, much like the one Sinon and I were in when we fought Death Gun. "All right everyone, split up. Klein, Silica, and Liz go west! Sinon take point from that towers up there!" I yelled pointing to the tower. "But what about you?" Liz asked. "I'll head through the middle and find them. If you see anyone, message us and tell us where they are." I explained. We all pumped our fists together and started to head towards our marked positions.
This is going to be one hell of a battle, I thought in my head.
