When I first opened my eyes, I looked around, there were my brothers and sisters, my mother, and the lady from the shelter, which was my home. "Good night little ones... Take care of your pups, Lacey." The lady said. She was wearing a light blue T-shirt with a logo with animals like birds, cats, and my kind, a dog. She had light brown chestnut hair with a cap on to block out the sun from her face. She turned all the lights off except the little ones on the sides of all of the walls, which made very little light. I looked at my mom who started to lye down on a comfy padding that was familiar to me. I walked over to the padding and copied my mom, but soon enough my brothers and sisters pushed their way through and started to drink my mothers milk. They pushed me hard enough that I felt off the comfy bed to the cold hard ground. "Ouch!" I thought. I whined in reply, but I knew that it wouldn't help a bit. So I curled up on the floor, and closed my eyes shut.
