When we were together it was such a sight

My heart warm and bright

Always feeling such delight

For you I was willing to fight

I'm holding onto the moments we made

But as time goes on my colors fade

I've become another dull shade

Fighting the urge for that silver blade

I can't find a way out

I just want to scream and shout

But I can't sit here and pout

I know what this was about

It was all but a strife

Surely not as large as the Tenerife

I must set down that tempting knife

For this is not worth my life
