Hinata walked home alone. It was dark, cold. Kageyama had left practice early for God knows what so he had to walk home alone.
It felt a lot more lonely than usual. Even though Kageyama mostly just walked silently, listening to Hinata ramble, every so often making his own comments, it was still lonely without someone to talk to.
Hinata sighed and pulled his jacket over himself tighter. He wasn't even close to home and it only got colder.
I wish I was able to cuddle with Kageyama, Hinata thought to himself.
Another sigh. Hinata thought about the previous night at the park with Kageyama and smiled. Well, at least his cheeks were warm now.
When Hinata arrived home, he slowly walked upstairs into his room, plopping onto his bed. His eyes gently fluttered shut as he drifted of into sleep, thinking about him and Kageyama.
~~~
Kageyama had left practice early. He changed quickly in the club room and then quickly left. He wanted to do something for Hinata, but he wasn't sure what, and knew it would take time to figure out, so he decided to leave early.
He did contemplate what would happen if Hinata started wondering why he left, and was somewhat worried that he would think wrong, but he knew it would be ok in the end.
Kageyama went to the train station so he could go into town. He waited on the platform; when the train showed up, he swiftly got on and sat down.
At last, he arrived in town and exited the train station. Kageyama began his aimless journey through the town in search of a gift.
Kageyama's plan, in detail, went like this:
Step 1: Buy a gift Hinata will like
Step 2: Hide the gift so Hinata doesn't notice it
Step 3: Ask Hinata out on a date
Step 4: At the end if the date, give Hinata the gift and ask him to be his boyfriend
Kageyama sighed at the stressful, yet gleeful task that would be. He shoved his hands in his pockets and looked into the shops, not finding anything particularly intriguing.
He thought about buying Hinata a special volleyball, but he already knew he had quite a few, so it would probably be lame to give to him.
After a few hours of looking, Kageyama found himself very tired. He was going to go get food and continue to search, when he saw a familiar face.
It was an old friend from middle school. He decided to go say hello to her and invite her to dinner.
After walking over and doing just that, he started walking with her to the nearest resteraunt.
The walk there was all laughs and smiles as the two caught up on life, and Kageyama slowly forgot his objective of finding Hinata a gift.
