The next day Kageyama wasn't at morning practice. Of course, Hinata was freaking out on the inside, but he also knew that it was probably something reasonable.
But then it came time to lunch. Kageyama was also not there. Normally, Hinata would just think he's sick, but the thing is is that he saw him several times in the hall today at school. With a girl that he didn't know.
Hinata kept trying to shrug it off and just avoid Kageyama, since that seems to be what the taller one was doing anyways; even so, he couldn't help feeling weighed down. It was the beginning of their relationship, although not official, and it was already steering off course.
After walking to the cafeteria and a few minutes of talking to some friends, Hinata realized he left his wallet in the classroom. He quickly jogged down the hallways toward his class.
He stopped, right about to turn the corner, when he heard voices. Of course, being his curious self, Hinata had to see who it was. He slowly and stealthily peaked his head around the corner.
His eyes widened, he could feel a sting in his eyes. It was Kageyama. He was sitting with a girl, very close. In fact, it looked like...
No. It can't be.
Hinata slowly slid to the floor. Kageyama's arm was around the girls shoulder, and his head was rested upon the top of hers. They were laughing with each other, which hurt even more. Hinata used to be the only one who could make Kageyama laugh.
He pulled his knees in close, very slowly. He couldn't move fast right now, nothing in his brain was processing.
Who is she.
Hinata felt angry. However, that anger quickly turned to sadness as he remembered that she had the upper hand here.
The orange head sat up slowly and began walking even slower back to the cafeteria, only to find that he didn't go to the cafeteria. Instead, he went to an old abandoned classroom and sat there, without even bothering to show up to any of his classes.

Everyone was at practice after school, including Hinata and Kageyama. All was well until it was time to clean up. Surprisingly, the way Hinata played wasn't affected by his recent encounters with the truth. But when he and Kageyama were helping clean up together, Hinata had trouble handling it.
"You weren't at any classes in the second half of the day, what happened?" Hinata just glared at him momentarily, then turned away, beginning to walk to the club room.
"Eh? Oi Hinata! Hellooo I'm talking to you." He waved his hand in front of the chibis face.
Hinata just slapped his hand away and made a 'tch' noise. "Yeah, don't even ask where I was. It doesn't even matter," he muttered angrily.
"Oh is this about lunch? Yeah sorry for not coming today I had to finish a test." Kageyama scratched the back of his neck.
"Wh-" Hinata was about to go on a rampage. His heart had skipped a beat, but in a bad way, and his eyes widened. Then there was that stinging feeling again.
H-How could he lie to me like that.
Hinata turned around, began stomping away; he was stopped because of Kageyama's hand. "Hey what's up with you today?"
"Let me go!" Hinata yelled as he wrenched his hand from Kageyama's grasp. He quickly changed into his clothes and left the club room.
Kageyama was still stood there in the middle of the hallway, still a little in shock. Hinata just shoved past him, almost knocking him over.
"H-Hinata!" He didn't even bother going after him, knowing he'd be too far ahead by the time he had a chance to even finish changing.
Hinata didn't leave, though. He waited to see if Kageyama would come after him. He waited. And waited. And waited. Yet, still no Kageyama.
It was almost dark, and there was no question that it shouldn't have taken this long to finish changing. But, for some reason, Hinata still sat there, across the street from where they usually walk home together.
Suddenly, he heard the footsteps of someone walking. He's heart jumped in hopes it would be Kageyama, and it was. But just as fast as his heart rised, it dropped. Kageyama wasn't alone. He was with that girl.
Hinata just snuggled into his knees again, and didn't even bother to go home or do anything. He just wanted to sit there. And think.
"Hinata is that you?" Kageyama called. Hinata quickly buried himself further into his knees and tried to act like he wasn't there.
Hinata was wondering how Kageyama guessed it was him, considering he had a shirt wrapped around his head so he didn't have to hold it. But, Kageyama recognized his shape and saw a glimpse of orange, and knew it was the usually energetic Hinata.
Hinata noticed that Kageyama didn't give up on the fact that it was him, judging by the fact that he was walking across the street, so he mumbled a silent "no" in hopes Kageyama would stop. He knew his attempt was a surefire fail.
"Idiot, what are you doing out here so late? You're going to catch a cold," he said gently as he walked over and sat in front of the smaller male.
He rested his hand very softly upon Hinata's head, care clear in his eyes. He was worried about Hinata's well-being, but it didn't come to Hinata's attention. He was more focused on the sweetness of his voice. Oh how wonderful it sounded.
Kageyama's hand moved to Hinata's cheek. He felt to make sure it wasn't too warm. This caused the orange haired boy's attention to shift to the raven hair's eyes. They were a deep blue, a blue that made Hinata want to cry because of the beaty.
Kageyama caught his gaze and lowered his eyes to meet Hinata's. They sat there staring longingly at each other, both being reminded of the night at the park. Hinata glanced to the side and noticed the girl watching them.
"S-Stop it Kageyama," Hinata said while lightly brushing his hand off of his face; looking down he said, "She's waiting for you," while nodding towards the person who was a stranger to him.
"Oh... Right. Sorry. Hey walk home with us. You're going to get sick if you stay out with out much coverage." Hinata snarled at the words Kageyama just spoke. 'Walk home with us..' 'us.' Hinata felt tears well up... Again.
"I-I can't. I have to go. I-I have to. Go." Hinata got up and ran away. He didn't care where he was going, he just wanted to get away.
"Hinata wait! Stop come back!"
Hinata just kept going, tears streaming down his face and onto the concrete.
When Kageyama noticed the random spots of wetness on the floor, he felt a pang in his chest.
He's crying because of me..
"Dammit!" He yelled as he punched the ground. He finally got up and continued walking with the girl, in total silence. He didn't want to speak. He felt sick.
What did I do?
Yoooo so I got a good idea for stuff but it's gonna take a lot of development in the story so I might post a lot this week, depending on homework. But yeah enjoy, this ones a little long but that's because I wrote it in band because my instrument is broken and I didn't have anything to do, so I really wanted to write and yeah 😂 I am considering updating again tonight, but maybe not. Who knows. But yeah enjoy. Baaii
