Eight weeks after Anna's birthday celebration Isis woke up to a strong craving for Hungarian feta cheese. The cravings had been coming on and off all week. She was glad that she had purchase some on her last grocery shopping but she could feel her jeans getting tighter.

Not being bothered to turn the lights on Isis stumbled down the corridor of Anna's house. She had had to let go of her apartment that she was renting due to the drop in shifts. Stubbing her little toe on the sofa she made her way into the kitchen, only to freeze when she spotted a silhouette of a person much to tall to be Anna.

"Who are you and what do you want?" she question, before she realised that she sounded like the stupid girls in horror movies that call out for their attackers.

She caught a flash of a grin from the light coming in from the window before she heard a deep voice.

"Yes, because I'm really gonna answer you if I'm a murderer." he said with a chuckle. Startling her with how close his thoughts were to hers.

She gave a laugh before she responded. "Maybe people are getting stupid nowadays, I was hopping for the best."

His chuckle turned into a full grown laugh and he stepped closer into the moonlight so that Isis could see him .

The stranger stuck out his hands waiting for Isis to grip it but she only stared blankly at it.

He shot her a puzzled look before stating his name, "John, nice to meet you."

Understanding flashed across Isis' face. "I'm Isis." She replied with a smirk. "So... John what brings you to the kitchen." she laughed at the blush that spread over his cheeks.

A flash of embarrassment quickly flashed across Johns face but it was gone in a second.

"Chocolate sauce." he winked, holding the container up he turned and walked away.

Letting out a laugh to herself she quickly went on to look for her cheese. She had been losing weight fast and hopping to give herself some extra padding had turned to putting peanut butter on top of her cheese.

After all of Anna persistence to visit the doctors Isis had finally agreed. If it wasn't for the fact that she had received a medical note promoting an annual check up once every two years she wouldn't have even been bothered, she couldn't remember the last time she had had a check up. And that's what worried her.

Her appointment was at two and She was dreading it. She couldn't handle needles let alone pills, she hoped that nothing was wrong, the thought of having to get a blood test scared her out of her mind.

Finishing her snack Isis crept back into her room, before her head even hit the pillow she was out cold.

Blinking the sleep from her eyes Isis tried to adjust her sight into less fuzzy vision the remnant of her sleep making it difficult. Glancing at the digital clock besides her she noted it was seven am, an hour after the time she usually woke up. But after having a particularly hard time staying asleep due to her uncomfortableness she thought it was a pretty decent time to wake.

The bathroom door was slightly ajar and hopping not to find Anna and John in a compromising position she pushed the door while she closed her eyes with her other hand.

A relieved sigh left her mouth when no one cursed or screamed at her to leave, daring to peek she lowered her hand slowly.

Finishing up with showering after her morning ritual of brushing and flossing she left the bathroom to get breakfast.

Sparing her a glance Anna turned back to her food.

The results arrived a few days later, causing Isis to fall to her knees. How did she let this happen? With everything else going on with her life she made a mistake and now it was to late.

"Why are you on the floor." Anna walked in and stared down at Isis.
"My life is over." A quizzical look passed by Anna's face, "because?.. " She probed.

"I'm pregnant and I don't know who the father is!" She did know but she refused to tell her.

This made her sound like a slut but Isis didn't care Anna never judged her in her past mistakes and she didn't expect her to start now.

"Ooooh! That's awesome I'll be the godmother and I'll help you with everything and we'll raise her together we can be like 2 and a half men but with girls!" She trailed of leaving Isis unsure if she had heard her friend right.

"I'm pregnant! How is this good?" she asked.

"Because at least you have me..." Anna made a fair point. At least she had her.

"I don't know if I can do this. What if I'm a bad mom?" A single tear fell from her eye.

"Never! We'll be the best things this child has every had."

As if the confirmation of the pregnancy was a trigger, the following weeks that passed made Isis flat stomach grow into a small sized ballon. both her and her doctor agreed that her stomach was way to large for a women less then 3 months pregnant. but after a scan and only one baby being detected her doctor said it was just a minor detail because both she and her baby were fine.

Her day had been tiring and flat out after the little problem of seeing her ex she just wanted to lay down and sleep.

Anna walked in to her room where Isis was laying facedown on her bed. "Get up preggos"

She stared her down but Anna refused to acknowledge the glare directed at her by Isis. "I mean it! have an event and I need you to come. My date has a friend and we don't need him third wheeling so your coming." Isis said throwing a small stuffed toy at her.

"Which friend?" She didn't want to go. All of the clothes she wore these days held her tummy tight, making her pregnancy that much obvious.

"It doesn't matter, so I can't remember your dates name at least I got you covered." Pouting her lips at me she turned as she held a magnificent red dress.

"I can't wear that!"
"Why not?" She exclaimed.

Pointing to her baby bump Isis made a stupid face at Anna. "My baby will stop everyone from talking to me."

Her night was great even though she got curious looks and a few sniggers she had enjoyed herself her 'date' had been charming and wasn't at all put off by her baby bump. Jokes were exchanged and the laughs were flowing until a figure pushed the glass door open.

The room continued to go on as if nothing had happened but Isis stopped breathing. This wasn't a dream, his face was unchanged and barely passed by her but when it locked back on her and recognition passed his eyes he smiled. His smile quickly replaced by a frown when he noticed her stomach.

Isis turned around, ran through a back exit and continued going until the plaza was no where to be seen.
