After the oddly pleasant day with the hosts, you returned to your home in the countryside. You entered through large French doors made of solid walnut, and ran to the main flight of stairs that lead to your floor of the house. You waved hasty greeting to the two maids and butler as you made a mad dash for your room. You rounded a corner and rushed into your bedroom, plopping down on a fluffy down blanket. Your world was a haze, and you couldn't quite figure out why. Your hand reached for your forehead and lay there as you released our a sigh. You rested for a few minutes until you abruptly sat up when a maid knocked politely on your door. "Miss (y/n)? Your father wishes to speak to you."
You slouched and muttered a reply. "Okay. Thank you for telling me."
"My pleasure!" She replied in a fake cheery voice.
'Damn. Not dad..' You thought to yourself. You reluctantly got up and turned to one of your windows. Looking out at the rolling hills and horse pastures, you felt at ease. 'Better get to dad's study. Don't want to keep him waiting..' You decided as you turned slowly to walk to the heavy ornate door that shielded your space from a commonly used hall. You trotted down the wooden stairs and made your way to dark lord's threshold. As you peeked your head in, your father motioned for you to enter. You tentatively stepped in, and walked over a oriental rug and sat down in a leather chair.
"(L/n), my dear daughter," He started in an ominous monotone. "I wanted to discuss how school is for you. It is a highly respected place, and I expect you to do your best."
"I already do, father."
"Good, keep it that way."
"I will, as always."
"That much is expected. You are indeed very good with your grades. However, I feel you need to do something else."
You raised and eyebrow. "Such as what, Father?"
"A sport, or club. Expand your horizons. There are many options for you. I've heard of a few, like the Drama club and school newspaper. There was one in particular, what was it? Ah! The Host Club. It sounds as if you would enjoy it."
"With all due respect, that is only for boys." You said in surprise.
"There is a female in in, as I have heard. And you," He paused. "You could figure something out. Besides, there are some people of interest in the club."
You were about to ask what he meant when he stood up. "I await to hear what you'll choose. Tell me tomorrow." He said as he got up and left the room, most likely heading off to deal with the business. You were frozen in shock. 'Join the Host Club?' You were stunned. But, you knew you had to, unless you wanted to be exiled for the rest of your life. You swore to yourself to make a point to join by tomorrow.
