You had just arrived back to your country estate. As soon as opening the door, your head maid ushered you to your father's office. She had only briefly said that he wanted to see you right away.
You opened the doors, and were greeted by a cold voice. "Ah, finally, you've made it my dearest daughter. I have something of upmost importance to discuss with you." You nodded at him, and he continued without acknowledging it. "Mr. Ootori has offered me an unusual proposal. Even though we are not competitors whatsoever, he thinks it would be a good idea to unite two of the wealthiest families in Japan. As you know, there is only one way to do this." He paused and looked up at you, still standing in the doorway. You blushed at the idea of marrying Kyoya. That was what your father was going to say, right?
"With you being the eldest, it only makes sense for you to marry someone who will inherit a good sum and bring merit to our family. That's why you will be engaged to the oldest Ootori son."
Your world froze. Kyoya wasn't the oldest son.. He was the youngest... What just happened? How will you explain this to Kyoya? You loved him! And you had to marry his brother...
