Hailey's perspective

"Sweetheart wake up" my mom stroked my cheek. I wanted to be in the unconscious world. I didn't have anything to worry about in there. But reality kept pushing me. I opened my eyes, and a sharp light blinded me. I saw men and women in white, and then I realised were I was. At the hospital. Bounded to the hospital bed with a tight sheet. I couldn't remember how I ended up here, but I was sure at one thing. It had something to do with Nate and Justin. A clip replayed over and over again every time I closed my eyes. It was a video of Justin,Nate and me standing in front of my house. Something was different about them. They looked so violent, and wanted to rip each other's heads off.
" mom why am I here?" I yawned and looked out the window.
"You fainted and we couldn't wake you" mom said and took my hand.
"Why?"
" the doctors said it was because of a suddenly chock. We couldn't wake you and I was so worried about you.
"Mom, who are WE?"
"Oh I forgot, Justin and Nate where there too. Thank god Justin saved you from falling. They found me and we called the ambulance immediately"
" mom I'm fine, please let me out of here. I don't like the smell off medicine and illnesses"
I protested while ripping off the sheet, and crawled out of the bed. I needed answers right now. From both of them. Nate and Justin. They're hiding something and I will figure out what it is.
"Hey Hailey stop!" Mom yelled desperately but too late. I was already on my way out. Actually I didn't know how I could get home, but I had to.

The warm asphalt burned my bare feet, and I stood there only in a hospital "dress", trying to figure out a way home. It was a little strange mom didn't followed me, but maybe she thinks I need some teenager space. Suddenly a familiar Volvo parked by my side. Nate scrolled down the window. He nicked with his head that signaled I should take a seat. As a surprise Justin sad next to him so I jumped in the back. We began driving and the atmosphere was a little tensed.
" I need answers, right now" my voice cracked. None of them supplied so I said a little higher and more specific.
"Answers. Now. I now you're hiding something. Finally Justin cleared his throat and looked me directly in the eyes.
"Hailey you have to understand that none of this is for fun, and no matter what you can't tell anyone. Not even your mom. Not even Lea. We are going on a vacation for a while. Just the three of us, for your own safety."
"But I don't even know why I'm in danger, and why I can't tell anyone. Please Justin tell me" I took his lovely cold hand, and he blushed. Nate didn't say anything he just had his eyes plastered on the road.
" Hailey, I'm a vampire. That's why you always see me in the shadows, and our meeting in the woods. I was out hunting. My cold skin and my perfect look it's all a part of what I really am-a killer. An animal. Nate is a vampire hunter. He thought I was the vampire there's hunting you, because I'm so obsessed with the wonderful blood of yours. But he was wrong. I would never hurt you. Hailey you have a special gift, but we don't now what it is yet. The gift makes all overnatural creatures obsessed with your blood. They get occupied by you. We think the gift is something from your very old family history. Something that has traveled generation to generation. But it can't just be they are obsessed with the blood , it means something more than that. And that's why the most dangerous vampires of all is after you. He now what's your special gift implies. And he's one of the originals. One of the very first vampires in the world. His name is Bates-that means Psycho, and that's what he is.
I had to take a deep breath and let all the information sink in. Suddenly it all fitted. I knew something strange was happening. From the beginning.
"So where are we going?" I whispered and squeezed Justin's hand.
" To me and my family's old cottage in the woods next to a lake half an hour from here" Nate said all of a sudden.
" What about my mom!"
"We texted her, and said that we're going on a camp with the school, you forgot to tell her about." Justin smirked and kissed my hand.
