2015 November 30

"So, who will you kiss in the new year's eve?" Luna asked.

"Why would I want to kiss someone?" I replied with a question.

"Because I want you to." She gave me a sharp look. "You will kiss a boy if it's the last thing I'll do."

"Just because you had a kiss-" I paused. "Your first kiss actually, doesn't mean that I have to kiss someone too."

"Don't remind me that. You know that, that was an accident."

"Yeah, like those snacks you keep eating and say that you ate them by accident?"

"This is different and you know it." Luna glared at me with a death stare. "Anyway, you'll have your first kiss at the new year's eve, I promise you that."

"Yeah and-"

"This is the end of our discussion."

Luna Jackeylin is my best friend. She's very stubborn and smart. Oh and clumsy. Very clumsy. Actually, she had her first kiss because of her clumsiness. She went out to buy sushi, when she stepped into the shop the waitress asked her to move, but Luna didn't hear her so she continued to walk and then she bumped into her. The waitress fell, and Luna fell on top of her and their lips were pressed together. It was quite a painful kiss, if you'd ask me.

But Luna doesn't complain, though. If I remember clear she said "Oh, but I don't mind. That waitress was pretty damn hot."

Since that day, Luna wants me to kiss someone too. She wants to take my special first kiss from me and replace it to a "hey-I'm-drunk-now-kiss-me" kiss.

"It's getting late. I'm going now." Luna said all of sudden.

"Yeah, okay," I replied walking her to the door. "So do you know what will you wish for?" I asked when we reached the door.

"No, you?" She replied. "Are we supposed to make a wish?"

"Yeah, you have to choose a firework colour in the new year's eve and at midnight, when you see your colour that you chose, you close your eyes and wish for something you wanted for a long time."

"Yeah? That's cool." She whispered. "Maybe we should make our wish tonight. That way, we'll trick Jesus or someone who's responsible for wishes. They'll think that we wanted this for a long time and our wish will come true."

"You," I looked at her. "You are a genius."

"I know." She smirked.

"Yeah and your ego is as big as my ass. So, kiss it. Kiss your ego. I dare you to kiss your ego."

"Shut up." She laughed but then she came back to her seriousness. "Say your wish out loud at midnight, despite how awkward it sounds."

She left and I stayed alone in my house. My parents were out on a business trip in Italy, so I had to clean my room.

But I didn't.

And soon it was midnight.

I was standing in my balcony looking at the dark sky with stars. It was peaceful and calm. I liked this. For the first time in this whole year, I felt calm.

"I wish for true love and luck on finding myself." I laughed at myself. I never believed in God.

But little did I knew about wishes. They had their flaws too. Everyone and everything does.
