"So, anyway," I took a bite of her mother's pie. "Did you find that girl?"
"Girl? Huh, no, why would I?" She panicked. "It's not like I've met her brother and he seemed cool and I like him, nope, not at all, why would I look for that girl?"
"You like a person with a dick?" I asked, surprised.
"No! It's not like that..." She stopped. "You won't understand."
"And why's that?"
"You never had a proper boyfriend or a girlfriend, you don't know how things work."
"Even if I never had a boyfriend, that doesn't mean I never googled on "how to talk with boys". Trust me with this."
"Uh," Luna sighted. "Well... Remember that post?"
"Yeah. "Looking for this girl." How can I forget?" I laughed.
"Anyway, I sent him a message. Look." She handed me her phone.
Luna: so um, hello, this is me
James: oh, hi! I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable having that photo up. I can delete it if you want?
"Okay, where are the spicy things? This is boring." I yawned.
"Don't stop reading."
Luna: okay. But why did you upload that photo in the first place?
James: actually, my sister works there. She told me that you've been acting strange everytime you come there, and she said "hey, James, I know this weird girl. You should find her. She seems fun and funny."
Luna: oh, well, so you just uploaded that photo to find me?
James: yeah, sorry about that. So what now?
"The rest is personal." She snatched her phone from me. "Anyway, we've been talking. He seems cool. He actually invited me for dinner and..."
"Did you accept?"
"Of course not. I don't know him, it would've been too awkward." She placed her phone on the counter. "I hate awkward meals."
"But that's your chance! You should take it! Think about it. Please." I pleaded her. "I want you to have someone besides me. We both know that we're not that popular at school, and we don't have friends besides each other."
"Yeah... The answer is still no." She shook her head. "I'm going to the bathroom." Luna left.
When Luna closed the door, I took her phone and searched for James contact to send him a message.
Luna: hey, is your offer still on?
James: yeah, of course
Luna: maybe we could meet today?
James: sure. 7pm?
Luna: okay. Maybe I could invite my friend and you could invite yours. I don't want things to be awkward on our first meet-up. Cool?
James: yeah, sure. I'd hate it if we wouldn't be friends anymore because of today, so okay. I'll pick you up.
Luna: great, can't wait.
