Tony and Clint managed to find the secret door and slide it open. Peter entered first, looking around the new area. Once all of them were through, Peter had a pretty good guess as to where they were.

"Wade's gotta be here," Peter uttered under his breath as he looked around at all the animal-like cages.

There were some weird things in the cages, not all human. Or maybe they were and just underwent too much torture and experiments to even remotely look like one.

They moved through the corridor of the imprisoned quietly. The ones that were no longer human silently stared back at them. Peter let out a quiet gasp and turned his head when he saw a man with only one ear eating his own finger.

Peter bit his lip, silently hoping they didn't do anything like that to his Wade. Tony halted abruptly, causing Peter and Clint to turn and look at him expectingly.

"Did you hear that?" He whispered.

Clint cocked his head to the side, listening. Peter stood there confused until Clint heard them too.

"Footsteps. Hide," He muttered quickly, gesturing the two behind behind one of the cages. This cage was different, it had solid walls, not just the crooked bars of a cell.

Peter definitely didn't want to know what was inside this one. They waited until the sound footsteps seemed far away before speaking.

"We should split up and look for Wade. Faster we find him, the faster we can get outta here," Clint explained.

"Alright, I'll stay with Peter and search this side," Tony said.

"Okay, I'll be looking over this way. Meet you both back here," Clint replied before quickly taking off in the opposite direction.

"We should hurry," Peter said to his dad after the hunter took off.

Tony nodded and began walking down the hall they were supposed to search. Peter checked the cages on the left while Tony checked on the right.

They quickly jogged down the long hallway, not sparing a second glance to the human turned creatures that definitely couldn't be Wade.

"Dad," Peter's voice was shaky, "I don't see him."

"Me neither," Tony said making his way back up the hallway to his son, "Maybe Clint found him."

Peter exhaled and nodded slowly. He just wanted to get Wade and get out of here. Leaving without him would be an eternity of heartbreak for him.

"Maybe-"

"Shh," Tony interrupted Peter quickly. They both listened to the sounds of footsteps nearing them, followed by screams.

Tony and Peter ducked behind a corner, able to watch from their position. The Soulless dressed in all black threw someone into a previous empty cage.

The screams chilled Peter to the core as he nearly jumped from his hiding spot.

"That's Wade," Peter whispered quickly. Tony's eyes widened and he clamped his hand over his son's mouth. Ear scratching noises came from the Soulless as they turned their dead faces towards the two hiding. Their black eyes seemed endless, making Peter's heart plummet in fear.

Tony rushed getting himself up, not taking his eyes off the stoic creatures. He was about to take off running with Peter when suddenly two arrows pierced straight through the head of both creatures.

Peter watched as the guards started glowing purple and letting out ear deafening screams before exploding into ashes.

"We've got to hurry," Clint said quickly. Peter didn't waste time running towards the still open cage, stopping at the entrance.

"Wade," Peter breathed.

The boy thrown in the corner looked worse than a kicked puppy. His usually dirty blonde hair was matted to his forehead and caked with blood.

"Please," the boy whispered.

"Wade, we're going to get you out of here," Peter whispered softly. He reached his hand out for Wade's which was tucked under his armpits.

Wade squeezed his eyes shut, "Are you really here right now?"

"Yes, Wade. It's me, baby. We're here to take you home," Peter explained softly.

"Peter," Wade's voice wavered and a single tear slipped from his eye. "I missed you so much. Are the kids okay?"

"Come home and find out for yourself," Peter smiled and gently intertwined Wade's calloused fingers with his softer ones.

Wade noticed the other two men now, momentarily frightened before he realized who they were.

"Time to go," Clint rushed, hearing more Soulless marching towards them. Tony nodded and pulled out the potion from his pocket that would take them all home.

"Wait, S-Steve," Wade panted weakly.

Tony's eyes widened as he stopped opening the potion.

"What? Why did you say say his name? Steve is dead," Tony snapped. He was still sensitive from unfinished grieving of his dead husband.

"No," Wade whispered, furrowing his brow in confusion. "No, I heard him."

"Wait, you heard my Pops?" Peter asked, his eyes watery. "Please, don't just say that-"

"No," Wade gathered the bit of strength he had to tug Peter's arm in the direction that led deeper into the prison.

"Whoa, guys. Where are you going?" Clint asked in disbelief. They got Wade, now they should be heading home. The hunter had had enough for one day and just wanted to get home to his Pietro.

"I think Wade knows where Steve's soul is being kept," Tony whispered in surprise, but immediately took off after the young couple.

"Oh, for the love of," Clint sighed and jogged after them.

"Are you sure about this Wade?" Tony asked the battered boy that was leaning a great deal on Peter.

"Wouldn't you want to know if there was even a chance at getting him back?" Wade asked through pained breaths.

Tony's lips pressed into a thin line as he nodded and continued to follow behind the limping boy.

Because Tony would do anything to get the love of his life back.
