Chapter 14, Waking Up

Damian's Pov, 

As we got back to Dick's base we saw my father sitting up holding his head with Katie and Barbara hugging him tight. "Should of guessed you would of woke up sooner" Dick smiled as I rushed over looking at him. "Father?" I asked as he looked at me. "Im fine Damian" he answered as I nodded. "Luke nice job" Barbara smiled hugging father again as the others all walked over. "What we going to do about Ra's?" Luke asked as we all looked at my father who sighed.

"We have 2 options, we stop his plan or we stop him for good" Father made Dick look at him shocked. The others only nodded but Dick just stared at father making me worry. "How are we meant to do that?" Dick soon asked as Barbara helped Father stand. "We use the Wayne satellite and stop their brain chips" father answered as I nodded agreeing with the plan. Everyone agreed and Luke started working on the computer with Tim as everyone else left me, Dick and father alone.

"You sure your ok?" Dick asked as father shook his head. "No, the fact I was controlled makes me sick" Father sounded upset as I looked at the ground thinking. "There was a brain chip Bruce, you had no choice" Dick sounded worried as I looked back up. "Damian how was training in the mountains?" father asked not wanting the reminder. "Boring, they made me clean and that's pretty much it" I answered as father smile at me.

"You didn't past stage 1 too huh?" father made me shock as Dick just smiled. "I remember when you tried putting me through that training" Dick laughed a little. "Damian seemed to past where you failed Dick" Father made me smirk as Dick sighed. "Like I was going to clean the cave" Dick mumbled crossing his arms making me laugh. "You might want to head up to the mountains yourself" I made Dick glare at me.

"Alright you two stop starting a fight, Bruce only just woke up" Katie walked over as father looked at her. "Never thought you would put it back on" father looked at her. "You treated me as family and always did after a year of me trying to join, so how was I going to say no to you needing help?" Katie asked smirking a little as father shook his head a little. "Took you 2 and a half years to join the family" father corrected.

"Now then as everyone else around here is scared to ask, why on earth did you and Dick fight in the first place?" Katie asked making me freeze. Father and Dick both just looked at each other and then at Katie. "You wouldn't understand" Dick mumbled walking off as Katie rolled her eyes. "I pushed him to hard, there was a child murder on the lose who got into my mind" father answered as I could tell he was lying. Katie nodded and walked off.

"Why lie?" I asked as father looked at me. "Because they would hate Dick" father answered making me nod. He always looked out for us.
