When I woke up this morning I was pretty sleepy, I never stay up after 10:00PM. Last night I didn’t sleep until 12:30 something, not just because I kept hearing Aaron barf multiple times, but because that was about the time Diane and my mom arrived. When I got home I went straight to bed, and fell asleep, I didn’t even change.

Now here I am on my way to school, after going to Starbucks to by myself a Cappuccino, to wake me up a bit. I parked my car in my usual place, but instead of seeing Logan’s car parked next to mine I see his motorcycle. Sometimes he brings his motorcycle instead and I get worried because it’s scary thinking about him in a motorcycle. What if something happens to him?

And standing next to his bike is Logan, with arms crossed and wearing his famous leather jacket. Here it comes, some kind of lecture from him.

I get out of my car and walk to him. “Hey, is something wrong?” I ask already knowing the answer by the look on his face.

“Why the hell did you hang up on me? You could have at least answered me if you were ok.” He adds, running his hand through his hair in frustration.

“What do you mean answer you?”

“The text I sent you, asking you if you were ok.”

I didn’t even check my phone after the Aaron incident, and obviously not when I got home, I was way too sleepy. I take my phone out and there it is the text: R U OK? Followed by: Seriously Cam, I’m Bout 2 Go OVR Dere. “Oh, sorry I didn’t even check my phone last night.” I admit.

“You know for a nerd, you can be really stupid sometimes.”

“Did you just call me stupid?”

“Didn’t you just hear me say that? Do you even know how out of control drunken people get? He could have hurt you.”

“He wasn’t even that drunk, and I can protect myself anyway. Aaron isn’t even the violent type, by the way.”

His blue eyes turn cold. “Oh, so now you’re all buddy buddy with him.”

“What the hell is wrong with you, you’re getting pissed off for nothing. I don’t even know why you’re getting all… sassy on me.”

He laughs. “Sassy? What the fuck does that even mean?”

“Ugh, just shut-up, Logan!  I hate when you get all like this; I can’t even talk to you right now.” I start to walk in the building with him at my heels.

He grabs my arm and I get out of his grasp. “I’m going to be late for class.” With that being said, I walk to my first period pretty angry.

I hate fighting with him, he’s my best friend, and he’s been there for me in my ups and downs. I know he’s just looking out for me, but he also has to trust me that I can take care of myself and don’t need him to protect me at all times. But this isn’t just my fault, he could have said ok next time just be more careful or something along those lines.

After last night I didn’t expect Aaron to talk to me, well not at school anyway. But here he was in front of me, leaning on my desk, with those green colored eyes. I had barely entered my Chemistry class, and had barely sat down. Then he made his way to my desk, and here he is now.

I look up at him and raise an eyebrow. “Yes?” I ask.

He smiles, one of his dazzling smiles. “Um, I just want to apologize for what happened last night. I was drunk, and wasn’t really me.” he starts to explain.

“It actually seemed a lot like you.” I point out.

“A more egotistical version of me, anyway I don’t remember much, but I wanted to apologize for whatever it is that I did. Because I’m sure I did do something, usually when I’m drunk I do some crazy things.”
