give you anticipation.
Chapters fill the spaces left blank
and give you promises.
Books nice and neat give you hope.
Endings the hardest part of anything
take it all away.
When the last page is written.
What happens after the happy endings?
If there isn't a happy ending.
Why?
As the pages turn slowly to ash.
Who is left to sweep up the memory?
