After she jumped, I was still left shocked. Knowing that she just jumped from this height. I looked at the girl left behind, she was with Honey a while ago if I remember.
Their business is not mine to be curious of. I reached out my hand to her forehead to realize she has a fever. The nurse was still not present so I had to makeshift with my resources here.
It was a good thing that I wasn't one of those annoying plastics who doesn't know how to cook or take care of other people besides themselves.
I looked for a towel and a small basin to at least put a cool thing on that hot forehead. I looked around and it looks like our facilities are topnotch. Considering the things inside why wouldn't I say it be.
When I was done, I waited for the nurse before going back to class. I just remembered that my coat was still with the girl a while ago.
I gave it to her when she sat on the floor after putting this girl here in the bed. She didn't even checked the girl she brought in here.
I remember that she was wearing a dress above the knee. Not our uniform to be exact. The uniform for girls were a black skirt,a white long-sleeved blouse and a coat similar to the boys.
Is she even a student here? She'll turn up sooner, right? I still need my coat and all. The nurse finally arrived. I asked her to take care of the girl before heading out.
I didn't bother leaving my name, it's mine to keep. And besides it was the girl who helped her first. I just kinda volunteered to at least lower her temperature.
When I was already outside, I decided to at least stroll through the campus to familiar myself. I passed down the science laboratory, home economics room and such.
It was already midday when I decided to head back. I'm pretty sure that I've roamed around every single room in the university. I was heading out to see what's outside.
It was silent and it was nice. The silence was relaxing and not deafening. I continued walking as I reached a small pavillion. I saw the girl there lying down on one of the benches.
I approached her as quietly as I could. I noticed her peaceful breathing as she slept through this time of day. She had my coat draped on her front, to cover herself from unwanted persons.
Am I included in the ' unwanted persons'? I mean I was kind enough to lend her my coat but should I just take it back? Or just let her sleep with it.
My mind was pacing back and forth thinking of what should I do. I was busy murmuring stuff on my own that I didn't notice the girl was shifting on her sleep.
She was about to fall when I noticed her. I quickly reached out causing her body to fall on me. Not the whole body just half.
It was quite awkward. She fell face flat causing me to hug her. I stood there as still as I could until she went back to sleep.
It was a good thing that she fell asleep fast because it was being really awkward, well for me it is. Our position was like hugging each other. So I decided to lift her whole body and bring it somewhere with more coverage.
I walked over to a bench, specifically with a roof, a cottage. I laid her down with her head on my lap. To be honest, I don't know why I'm doing this.
I don't even know her. I mean if I recall my encounter with Honey, I was irritated with, I think, a valid reason. I don't feel anything besides protecting her.
I was lost in my thoughts not noticing that she was already wide awake. She looked at me with those blue-green eyes. They look innocent and yet not at the same time.
" Who are you? " the girl on my lap asked
" Lance Jerome. How about you? " she started to get up and sat up straight beside me.
"Alice" she made a small smile but it quickly vanished.
"What are you doing sleeping in that place? " I can't help but be curious.
" Well the wind was good there. But technically, I wasn't supposed to sleep. I was just staring at something. " she explained.
" Are you a student here or you're just here to visit? "
" If I were to say that I'm a student here, will you believe me? "
"I don't know" I shrugged. Not knowing what to answer her question.
" So there's no point in telling you what you want to know. It's gonna be useless" she started to turn around but I grab hold of here hand and pulled her.
" Yes? " she asked as soon as she faced me.
"Well, are you.. Uhm.., a student here? " she just nodded and took a step forward.
I still haven't let go of her hand. She looked at me with eyes filled with question. I don't know what I want to say to her. I just didn't want to let go of her hand.
I decide to fix the coat that was placed on top of her shoulders. I let her put her arms on the holes and dragged her somewhere. We walked for quite some time.
I don't know where I'm going and I'm pretty sure nor she. She pulled me to stop when we arrived near the greenhouse. Now it was her who was dragging me.
We went inside and did she just jump? Well I'm happy that it's not awkward anymore. The only problem is what should we talk about?
She picked a flower. It was pretty, and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this kind of flower before. She went up to me and gave it to me, with her lips forming a smile.
Now I know that what I saw before was real, her dimples that is. I gotten flower from her hand and she giggled. It sounded happiness to my ears.
I looked around and noticed a blue-green flower. This reminds me of her eyes. I picked two. One for her and one for me. A reminder.
A reminder for me to never forget to protect her. She's not that special but I think she will be in my life.
I was again lost in my own thoughts that I was brought back to my senses when she hitted my head. Not too hard but not too light too.
She was laughing. Now that is music. A pleasant music you want to hear everyday. Music that you won't grow tired of.
" You should stop spacing out. Or else, I wont be able to leave you alone" she laughed for the nth time.
" I guess I like that" I let out a small smile with her doing the same.
