Chapter 8

[Millie's POV]

I felt like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. My husband was alive and I only had God to thank for it. The doctor showed me to his room where he laid in bed lifeless. My eyes filled with tears as I sat next to him in bed.

"Oh my god babe. I can't believe this happened to you." I cried. I ended up sending a text to everyone telling them Geno was alive. I then put my head down and did a silent prayer. When I lifted my head up, I noticed Geno's eyes were open.

"Hey mami." He said.

"Oh my god baby! Are you okay? What happened? Who did this to you?" I asked.

"Slow down baby. I'm fine." He said. I began crying again.

"I thought you were dead." I cried.

"I thought I was gone too baby, but I'm here." He said.

"I'm so sorry for everything. I was so mad at you and once I got the news about you being shot...everything was thrown out the window." I cried.

"Stop crying Cam. It's not your fault. I'm a certified gang member and this is what you get in that lifestyle." He said.

"But I don't want this for you. You have a family now." I said.

"Baby listen to me. Don't you worry your pretty little head. I'm not going to let anybody separate us." He said. Before I could respond, the door flew open and Geno's parents were running into the room.

Geno's Parents

"Ah, gracias al Senor!" You're alive!" His mom cried. She hugged him tight and he groaned.

"I'm sorry bebe!" She said. After his parents loved on him for what seemed like hours, Jas came in with the kids.

"Mommy!" Dominic squealed. He hopped into my lap and then climbed onto the bed with Geno.

"Daddy! What are you doing in here?" He asked.

"Daddy's been hurt, but I'm okay." He said. He kissed Dom and asked for Kenziee.
