[Melissa's P.O.V]
Millie was slowly, but surely getting her memory back and I was glad. She and the kids have been staying with us since she was released from the hospital and that really pissed Eli off. He had been so frustrated lately and being an asshole about everything. I was starting to drift away from him.
This morning, I had dropped the girls off at school, and headed down to the jail to pay my dad a little visit.
I was searched and checked before being led into the visitation room and once they were done checking me, I went to take my seat by the payphone. Minutes later, my dad came walking out of the back and towards the phone. He looked horrible. His hair had grown and looked a mess, he hadn't shaved in what seems like weeks, and the bags under his eyes were heavy. My dad literally looked like hell. We both picked up the phone and stared at each other.
"Hey baby girl." He said.
"Hi dad." I said dryly.
"How are you? How are the girls?" He said.
"We're all fine, but look...what were you telling me over the phone that day?" I asked. I was anxious to hear what he had to say.
"Melissa...Eli isn't who you think he is. I just found out recently that he and your mother were fooling around. Once he proposed to you, she got mad and tried to make him call it off, but he wouldn't. Then you got pregnant and that drove her over the edge. I swear to you that I'm not making this up. Do you have a pen and paper with you?" He asked. I slowly nodded and dug some paper and a pen out of my purse. He started calling out numbers, email addresses, and house addresses.
"Look through the emails first. Then call the numbers and if you have to...go to these addresses. Tell them Dave sent you and they'll give you all the information. But Melissa...do not go alone, and do not let Eli know what you're doing or where you're going. He's dangerous. Take Millie with you and let her know what's going on." He said.
"Millie is slowly getting over amnesia. I don't think this will be good for her. Plus she's still on house arrest." I said. He nodded.
"Just hurry and get yourself and the girls away from him! Please...our time is up and I love you." He said.
"I love you too." I said. He blew me a kiss as we hung up the payphone. I sighed and headed to my car. Once I was in the car, I started looking through the email information he gave me over the phone and made a shocking discovery.
