Chapter 9

[Rosa Woods POV]

My name is Rosa and I live in Detroit, Michigan. I am divorced with two kids and I live in a beautiful neighborhood and home. I was sixteen when I got pregnant with my first child and my ex husband stood by me the entire step of the way. My parents were pissed when they found out I got pregnant and kicked me out, but I was well taken care of and so was my beautiful daughter Melissa Elaine Woods.

Everything was going great at first, but things took a turn for the worst when my ex lost his job and money was tight. I ended up cheating on my husband with a coworker for a little cash, and that's when I found out I was pregnant again. My ex threatened to leave if I didn't get an abortion and since I couldn't afford it, he left. I ended giving birth to my second daughter, Millian Elise Woods, and raising them both by myself. I always did everything for Melissa because she was my first baby girl, but Millian was always my resented child. I treated her different from Melissa simply because she ruined my marriage, she ruined my youth, and she ruined my life! My ex ended up coming back into the picture somehow and helped me take care of the girls, but once Millie got older, he noticed how much she was looking like her real father, and left me once again.

The night Millie left was the happiest day of my life. Melissa, on the other hand, was heartbroken. She actually loved her sister and realized her bridezilla ways pushed Millie over the edge. I played the "worried mother" part, but when they pronounced her dead then I was at ease. Who knew she would magically reappear back into my life? When I saw her standing in Melissa's kitchen, I was pissed. She should've been dead! I put on my fake tears and pretended that I missed her when in reality I didn't care for her at all. And what made it worse is that she had a kid! Two kids at that! Though I loved Dominic to death, he had nothing on my nieces. I spoiled them rotten and they will never want for nothing. Once I found out about Millie's husband and what he was involved in, I decided to reach out to my ex husband and ask for help. It took almost a month, but he made it happen and hired somebody to do my dirty work for me. Antwan Howard was Geno Sanchez's former employer and had full access to him. He was perfect! We paid him half the money and once the job was done, we gave him the rest. I was grinning hard when I called Antwan and he told me the job was done. A week later I was on the phone with Melissa when she dropped the bombshell on me that Geno was still alive! What the fuck!
