Benji POV
Ashley ran out of canteen holiday his beanie on as if it were his life line looking upset and extremely annoyed.
I get up as quickly collect our things and stand to go after him. But Tom grabs my arm and turns me round to look at him.
"Where do you think you are going? " Tom asks in distaste
"Away from you?" I reply flatly
"Did any of us say you could leave?" Tom say whiles pointing behind him at his friends
"No but I don't need your precision to leave. It's a free world people can come and go as they please." I reply smugly
They back away looking scared I turn to see Miss Lovit standing behind me looking extremely angry with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Benji, Ashley wants you follow me" Miss Lovis says to me and turns around we start to walk out of the canteen then she turns around and shouts angrily at Tom and his friends
"DON'T THINK YOU GOT AWAY WITH THIS KIND OF DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR. I KNOW YOUR NAMES AND I HAVE ACSES TO THE SECURITY CAMERAS" Miss glares at them one last time before turning back to me.
"Come on Ben we have to hurry. The ambulance says they will only wait 2 minutes" Miss runs out fast jer ballet flats tapping against the floor I follow after her.
"What do mean ambulance. What' happened" I ask worried we go down the stairs at the front of the school through the crowd of students gathered to see what's happend.
Miss starts to nudge me into the back of the ambulance I step in backwards; I stare at her expecting a reply then she finally does reply.
"I am not sure; just get in with Ashley and I will phone your parents to say where you are" Miss slams the ambulance door closed before I could object.
I look down at Ashleys pale face covered with a breathing mask; I look up at the male nurse with a name tag saying Dean.
"Do you know whats wrong with him yet?" My voice clips with concern; I take Ashleys soft hand in mine place a kiss on the back of his hand.
"We suspect he had a heart attack but we will need to run a few more tests at the hospital before we can make a proper diagnosis" Dean replies professionally.
The machines monitoring Ashleys heart beeebs non stop the usual moving line saying hes alive becomes a continues straight line.
"Ashley" I scream frantically tears fall down my face. Dean stands up with the resuscitation devise,he sticks them onto Ashley bare chest and and another nurse replaces his breathing mask with a hand held one and signals me to move away; I reluctantly listen and back away as much as I could in the small space.
Thought flood through my head causing me to panic "I couldn't live with out him. I would die without him here to hold my hand and to say he loves me. He can't be dead. If he is dead I would die to I can't live without him here with me" the thoughts run thro my head continuously like a mantra; tears flood down my face as I sob in the cornedq watching helplessly as they try and make his heart beat again.
