As Sir Richard Neville and Sir George Plantagenet entered the castle, Jester jogged ahead of them to open the large decorative door that led to where they would dine with the King. As he opened the door, the two Knights nodded their thanks. "Gentlemen! Join me. We have something we need to discuss!" called the King, motioning to a seat on either side of him.
"The House of York causing trouble again, Sire?" asked Sir George Plantagenet as he sat on the left side of the King, whilst Sir Richard Neville sat on the right side. "It would appear so, yes. Two of their members fled in the early hours of Friday morning with the intentions of allying themselves with the House of Lancaster. I believe you are both familiar with the names Ava Woodville and David Johnson, correct?" said the King as Jester poured some red wine for the trio. "Yes Sire. The names are familiar. Ava Woodville is the young daughter of Evette and Thomas. She is quite the jouster, Sire. And a nice girl if I may say so" replied Sir Richard Neville, wrapping his hand around his mug of wine.
"David is a good man, Sire. Honourable and true to his word as a gentleman" said Sir George Plantagenet as he watched the King. "Why have they fled, your majesty? Do we know the reasoning behind their actions?" he asked, sipping at his wine.
"Unfortunately, we do not know much. All we know is that the House of York has sent out their Knights to retrieve the pair before they reach the House of Lancaster. Heaven knows where David and Ava spent the night. If it was out in the cold, then they will seek warmth for tonight. Gentlemen, I fear that if we do not reach the pair first. They will come upon rebels from the House of York who will do things most unsavoury to them. I am aware that Ava is somewhat of a ringleader at times, and has the tendency to do things that would normally get her thrown into prison. It would not surprise me if she is captured, but at the same time. If she is captured, she will be returned to the House of York. And. Knowing Sir Henry Stafford. He will offer himself to guard her to ensure she does not flee again. That man lusts after what he cannot have. As for David, he will most likely follow Ava until he himself realises that her actions are most destructive. Gentlemen, I ask that you seek out David and Ava. It is your house they seek to ally themselves with, and it is in my understanding that the two of you have come to know the pair as friends, so to speak. So I leave it to you to seek them out. But for now gentlemen, let us eat and drink. For the night is still young, and we may be celebrating the fall of the House of York soon"
The two Knights toasted to the King, all the while thinking of how they would go about this. How do you find those that will be trying to hide and stay out of sight. As the trio drank and ate into the night, Ava and David were seeking out shelter from the nightly elements. Anything would be better than laying in the grass by trees again.
